Some fluff on my personal Kill-Team unit for 40k. Just a list of character names and some descriptions.

Watch Captain Sparrow, Winner of Battles, Bringer of Glory, Pleasure of Women (Galactic Partridge)
Sparrow is by far the best and most undefeated member o the Deathwatch ever to live. Swooping down at the last moment, he has saved Kill Teams uncounted, and done their killing for them (especially if they have a Space Wolf member). Often captures enemy vehicles and heroes in a stasis bomb, to be used as trophies to commemorate his many and plentiful victories.
ALL GLORY TO THE GALACTIC PARTRIDGES!

Preferred Equipment: Power Sword, Combi-Flamer with extra and chemical ammunition, Stasis Bomb
Personal Skills: Gloriousness

Librarian Kyral (Blood Raven)
Kyral has the mysterious ability to obtain almost anything. In his possession on recruitment were: a Nemesis Force Halberd, three Space Marine helmets of different extinct chapters, an Ultramarine Battle-Standard, a full squad of Guardsmen, the underpants of Inquisitor Belarak, and a gold-plated toilet seat. Most impressively of all, he had hidden all these items into a small pouch. In addition to this skill, Kyral possesses a great curiosity and level-headedness. Something dearly needed in a world of psychotic super-soldiers. It is for these reasons that he was inducted into the Deathwatch. His psychic powers are irrelevant and often unhelpful.

Preferred Equipment: Force Axe, Terminator Armour
Personal Skills: Biomancy, Object Acquisition

Brother Thomason (Ultramarine)
Renowned across the Imperium as a paragon of bravery and leadership, Thomason follows the teachings of the Codex Astartes above all else, as commanded by his Spiritual Liege, Guilliman. An excellent tactician and strategist, Thomason has never failed to complete his objective, whether it be to quell the use of xenotech in an underhive or the single-handed capture, sampling and slaying of a Norn Queen while unarmed. After a mere decade as an Ultramarine, Thomason had been promoted to the rank of Sternguard Sergeant in the 1st company. Due to his overwhelming skill at arms and his aptitude for defeating alien warlords, he was recommended to the Deathwatch by Marneus Calgar personally. Even with only a few month's service in the Deathwatch, he is already well on his way to becoming Watch Master. Currently considered second-in-command to Kyral.

Preferred Equipment: Infernus Heavy Bolter
Personal Skills: Leadership, Strategic Planning

Brother Simonius (Imperial Fist)
Simonius is, in a word, special. His mind was never exactly Dorn's Pride, but it is generally agreed by all that his taking a Battlecannon round to the face accounts for most of his current oddities. However, what Simonius lacks in mental capacity is more than made up for in his skill with Heavy Weaponry of all kinds. With a disturbing glee, Simonius takes to the field with any big or heavy weapon he desires, and seems to take no heed to the danger he regularly puts himself in in doing so. To date, Simonius has at least three recorded Engine Kills on titan-grade weaponry. Seemingly knowledgeable on the operations of any and all xeno weaponry (so long as it makes enemies detonate in a fiery cloud of blood and gore), he often proves himself an asset.

Preferred Equipment: Frag Cannon
Personal Skills: Heavy Weapons and Ordnance operations

Brother Acaustus (Salamanders)
Unlike most marines, Salamanders have experience dealing eith the average human. They have learned to relate to things other than supersoldiers. It is for this reason that Acaustus is the member of the team that handles diplomacy and negotiations. Keeps asking uncomfortable questions about Brother Frank's ethnicity.

Preferred Equipment: Frag Cannon
Personal Skills: Human Relations

Brother Thraan (Iron Hands)
Thraan, as expected for an Iron Hands marine, has an affinity for technology. What makes him stand out is that he has no qualms using xenotech. Often assisting Brother Simonius in his high-explosive endeavors, Thraan cracks machine-codes, disables enemy comms-relays, and is the team's resident pilot. Where the sacred technology of the Imperium cannot go, Thraan bridges the chasm. Having a shared history with Brother Kalos, he and Thraan have become nigh-inseparable. The two of them have been around the block more than a few times, and have together come to the conclusion that the knock-back effect of a Xenopurge Slug is the best way to keep blood off their armour.

Preferred Equipment: Deathwatch Shotgun, Auspex
Personal Skills: Technical Operations

Brother Kalos (Mortifactors)
Kalos' obsession with death has disturbed many. From the entire Ultramarine chapter to interrogation-suspects to Inquisitor Belarak, this obsession has repulsed and sickened many. It has, however, lended Kalos a keen insight into how death occurs in dozens, if not hundreds of hard-to-kill species. While all Deathwatch marines are trained in how to kill a xenos menace, only marines like Kalos advance that knowledge further than would normally be necessary. Between himself and Thraan, they make the logical backbone of what would otherwise be a rather unfocused and self-destructive team.

Preferred Equipment: Deathwatch Shotgun, Power Sword
Personal Skills: Marine Battle Medication and Geneseed Recovery, Xenobiology

Brother Galeron (Black Templars)
Brother Galeron is one of those marines whose gaze is downright predatory. All marines are natural killers, but few exude the aura of tension and threat that Galeron does. Eternally suspicious of anyone using dark or forbidden texts, or psychic powers of any sort, he has taken to following Librarian Kyral around wherever he goes and wielding a Heavy Thunder Hammer all the while.

Preferred Equipment: Jump Pack, Heavy Thunder Hammer
Personal Skills: Melee Expert, Alien Psykers

Terminator Dakka McBugsmasha [or Frank] (Red Skullz)
Frank is the most eccentric member of the team. Due to a geneseed mutation, he has grown larger and more muscularly than the average marine, and requires a set of custom-made terminator armour. In addition to this, he seems to have a sort of speech impediment, and refers to himself as "Dakka McBugsmasha" when he means to say "Frank". Despite this, Frank has great oratory skills, and has been known to double the efforts of his comrades with a simple cry of "WAAAAAGH!". Frank is an exceptionally strong and durable fighter, with a surprising knack for infiltration.

Preferred Equipment: Assault Cannon, Chainfist
Personal Skills: Hull-Breaching, Infiltration

Dreadnought Longclaw (Space Wolf)
This one is long enough in the fang to have met his grand-geneseed-successor's Dreadnought. Regularly tells of how he disdains of the deeds of his lineage. After too many tall tales for even Longclaw to tell, he was assigned to the Deathwatch after his entombment, mostly in an advisory role.

Personal Skills: Shouting, Tales of Past Battles
Preferred Equipment: Plasma Cannon

First and foremost; this was hilarious. I had this little conversation in my head when Kill-Team mention 'Frank'.

Battle-Brother: Captain, why is Frank green?

Captain: Oooh, I see how it is, there's something 'apparently' wrong with a human being green!

Battle-Brother: Sir, I wasn't implying that, I was just sugg--

Captain: Shut it Samson, you racist prick, judging dear ole Frank on his skin color.

Frank: DAKKA WAAAAAAGH MCBUGSMASHA!

Captain: That's right, you Waaaagh all you want, don't listen to this racist, xenophobic jerk. -Spits on Battle-Brothers boots-

Battle-Brother: Sir, aren't we all technically xenopho-- -A firm authoritarian bitch slap claps across his face-

Captain: I've had enough your crap for today!

I can picture Trazyn and Kyral fighting like children over that Gold Toilet and Thommason screaming 'Noooo, you're going to break Macragge!' And the entire Ultramas sector rattles while the two play tug of war with the toilet seat, bickering and spitting insults at each other.

I really want to make a DW squad with a few members from each xeno race. The over the top chapter traits is pretty great too, can't wait to see what else you come up with.

Update: Brothers Thraan and Kalos.

Not quite as amusing, but hopefully a balancing factor (and humour contrast) for the team.

As hilarious as the others are, having Thraan and Kalos is probably the wiser of choices... If you decide to explore them any further in the future. You don't want to be retrieving some xeno information or whatever and good ole Frank smash the console thinking it's a bug. Hehe

Great stuff. Love frank! And Kyral's mostly irrelevant and unhelpful powers.
Lots of fun, thanks for sharing.
