So, I have been on again, off again on 40k for 14-15 years meow and when I saw the new Deathwatch I almost peed my pants because I've always wanted an army full of them. I may or may not be bandwagoning but with my GF's recent interest in Nids I dove right in because I wanted to squash some bugs.
I think the new models are absolutely amazing with one big exception, the Terminators. The fact they simply used a standard SM Terminator kit with a simple shoulder pad upgrade kit irked me. It felt like they just rushed to get the army out and only focused on the Cassius and Standard Kill Teams. So, I decided to make my own. I started buying individual Terminator models from the Dark Angels, Blood Angels, and Space Wolves. I also picked up a few shoulder pads from other chapters. Also, after seeing that each model has access to a very diverse weapons list I decided to ignore that and give them all Assault Cannons. Seriously, for a hundred extra points it was totally worth it. Plus I think they look totally wicked.
I am waiting for a few parts to show still but here is what I have so far. On the opposing arm with the Deathwatch insignia I decided to stick with the standard Termie power first. I know they are a little bland compared to the rest of the model but I figured it fit the motif a little since that arm signifies Deathwatch. Plus their weren't as many options as I would have liked.
What do you think?
I'll have more soon.

I Looking good! That's a much better way to do it than just using the standard terminators.

Very similar idea to one I've been planning since the early leaked photos. I'll be mixing in a converted Branatar to my squad, as well. I have plenty of Wolf Guard and Deathwing to do this, but I have to get the parts of a Blood Angels terminator together at some point.

Yeah, I have him too but I'm not a flamer fan.

Blood Angel/Deathwatch Terminator almost done. Went with a more muted red and bronze. Still some small details and highlights to finish up tonight.

Looks like you have many of the same Terminators planned that I do. I think I am going to post a blog about their conversions. I am going to be converting three of the Dark Vengeance Terminators into Deathwatch (craving off the pads to make it work). The goal is to have two HF/Meltafist, two Assault Cannon/PF, and one CML/SB/PF.
Anyway, everything you have looks quite nice so far. Definitely a good choice to take more dynamic models and convert.
