Hello Dakkamates,

I've been working on these for a lil bit and wanted to show what I had so far. These are NOT finished yet! Still have to do some more base work and clean up some details etc... but think can get the idea of what i'm doing.
So fluff wise, I've been taking everything I can from o'l fantasy and bringing it into 40k (take a look at my Skaven/Tau conversion!). For these guys I went more ghoulish beast vampire breed (The Strain anyone...?). I despise the Emperor but I couldn't make'em chaos looking because didn't make sense all the anti chaos while wearing chaos bits.... so what else was there to not be Empire and have a possible reason to hate chaos soooo much... Undead! Hear me out. Chaos feeds on your soul and corrupts your body while Undead feeds on your body and corrupts your soul. Same coin, opposite sides. Either way humanity is screwed. Enough with the ramble, time for the pics, enter the Grey(skinned...) Knights! Hope enjoy.

Looking good!
Gotta admit though, the clean and bright silver throws it off in my opinion. The heads scream dirty and ancient Nosferatu but the armor is so clean and new. If you'd gone the route of sexy and decadent vampire heads I could see the ostentatious armor but with the withered heads and bone trophies it's a bit jarring.
Superb paint and kitbashing!

I would agree that the bright armor tends to drown out the vampire flesh.

It's an amazing idea and executed well. I simply feel that the armor color may have been a better choice with an old bronze or copper look.

That blinding silver, it remind me of B-movies using shiny aluminum as armor. The red weapon edges also look rather flat and could use much more contrast. I'm looking at the details of the head and bone parts, its like the miniature is painted by 2 different artists. One understands layering and the other does not.
