Hey dakka, with my Space Wolves at about 2000 points painted, I am looking for another possible army to start.

I like the Black Dragons, a lot. But I really don't want to do space marines and have them play a lot like my Space Wolves.

It wont be 'too much power armour' because everyone is different enough that won't be an issue, its simply the play issue.

What chapter tactic fit the black dragons? If I go with said chapter tactics will they play too similarly to my Space Wolves (Firehowlers so lots of speed and thy hit hard).

Thank you!

~Mikey

I haven't read enough about them to really comment on tactics, but modelling them well could be a challenge. Modelling their bone blades and spikes without them looking just tacked on could be hard to pull off.

Yeah, thats another issue. Maybe blood angels, the abominations, or completely mutated dragons can be Death Company and I would get lots of assault marines and apothecaries.

Finding shoulder pads would be easy as I believe chapter house sells some salamanders shoulder pads that would work.

The spikes and growths though, I have no clue besides intense converting for each marine.

Also, what about Tyranid claws?

I have a metric crapload sitting in my basement from Shield of Baal, they might be a bit too big for a space marine though...
