I got the Custodes out of the new Burning of Prospero box. Although this miniature was challenging to paint, with immense detail and trinkets, I quite enjoyed it and will be painting the whole squad and posting it here. Constructive criticism is gladly accepted.

Looks good. Only thing I can see that could improve is some highlighting on the bolter. Look forward to seeing the rest.

Tzares, I used Liberator gold over Retributor Gold, followed by a wash of Reikland Fleshshade, followed by a highlight of Liberator Gold and Extreme Highlights with Runefang Steel.

Looks great. I am, however, waiting for some alternate takes on these figures. While the fluff says gold, I want to see people do these differently. I'd love to see a squad in the white-painted armour (think the emperor from Gladiator) or something unique/different. These look spot on though.

Looking good, I definitely like the rich gold. I haven't got around to painting mine yet, too much stuff to do. But they do look better with the thigh armor plates, they look too top heavy and foot heavy without the extra bulk on the upper legs imo.

The man, the legend, the myth - Constantine Valdor! I took extra time to work on this model, since he is by far one of my favorite characters from the Horus Heresy!

The full squad is now painted! Quite proud of what I did there as I usually struggle painting a full squad since it gets boring. But Adeptus Custodes is something that I love since the start of my hobby in 2010. I will keep you posted with more painted models definitely. Especially that GW officially said that you can have a full army of these guys in 40k! This will surely get me back in gaming! Cheers!

Alright boys and girls, time to start a shield squad, and as logic dictates the first model will have no shield

I wanted to make a model that would represent some sort of duelist or some sort of custodes champion. I decided to name him Augustus, Blade of the Emperor. More of the squad to come! As for my plans, I have purchased a Talons of the Emperor box and I have a Forgeworld Custodes Drednought on the way, so stay tuned for more golden warriors!

Lookin' good. Keep going! I would have liked to have seen you modify the Contemptor (it's just an awful kit the way it is!). I think some kit-bashing or finding some spare custodes bits to put on/in there would have been great. The head is easy to carve out and replace!

Yeah I agree the drednought does look bland, but unfortunately the bits from thr Custodes box seem off, they're too small for the drednought and look awkward. Thank you for the critique though!

Thanks guys! Unfortunately I don't have plans for the Grav tank, due to me not having an airbrush and painting gold using a standard brush on flat armor plates is near suicide! I do have a very special Custodian Guard planned.
