Hi All,

I haven't posted anything for a long while as life perked up a bit and caused some major distractions but thankfully while it was happening i was able to plan a few projects for the winter and this is one of them.

So i have been getting into painting the emperor's warbringers chapter of the space marines, mainly because of they are unheard of, so have a lot of free play in how to paint them and each different unit.

I had a Imperial Knight Paladin and decided to search to see if anyone had done one for the warbringers and for the life of me i couldn't find one, so have decided to build and paint a free blade that has join forces with the warbringers.

I have just finished the build stage and now the model is all ready to paint, so if you are interested keep an eye on this post as i will try update it as much as i can .

Please see pics below for progress so far.

I have had a lot more time than i thought to work on this model, the base coats are almost done for most of the armor and i am currently working on the legs and body.

Pictures below of the progress, I have also decided on the freeblades markings and flag.. currently working on a design which i will post once i am happy with it.

Comments are welcome and i hope you like the progress so far.

So the Knight is slowly coming along and i loosely put it together to give me an idea of what i should do with the transfers and banner.

It's looking good so far, so i have now complete the base coats and edge highlighting of all the Armour pieces, i have also completed the base coats and detailing of the main body.

The next step is detailing and then transfers, should hopefully have it completed by next month, then it's on to painting a small Emperors War bringers skirmish army.

Thanks for reading, comments always welcome .

So i have made a lot of head way with the knight, in fact it close to completion so i thought i would post the progress so far as the final stage of completing the base with take a little while.

So completed all the highlighting and detailing of the model, finally decided on the freeblades heraldry (Black back ground, dark red strip with three skulls) and what i was going to do with the banner.

The banner is now the pledge the Knight has made to support the warbringers, so is a scroll of declaration to that order.

I also have completed all of the transfers including the roman numerals on the right hand shine guard (LXXV which represents the 75th pilot of the knight) and the company number the knight is assigned too on the left.

The base is now painted and ready to texture and add the odd bits and pieces to it, then the final stage of matt vanish to complete it.

That it so far but hopefully by the end of the next weekend the knight will be ready to display.

Comments always welcome.

Sev.

Looks great so far! I especially like the thought you've put into the background of the knight and all of its various markings.

Can't wait to see the finished product!

Thanks Starrider, I did a bit of research into the knights even though i had the model i didn't really know much of the history. I have tried to keep as close to a freeblade style much as i can while joining forces with my chapter, thanks for the feed back.

Welcome to the site and look forward to seeing your models and updates.
