Subject: Warhammer Age of Sigmar - Disciples of Tzeentch
- Intro video - it's the time of tzeentch now, the architect of fate rises!
- Mug, Rob and Eddie are here
- DoT is a new AoS battletome. They will also give an overview of where they are at AoS, both story and rules wise!
- This battletome moves the story along a bit.
- Where are we in the mortal realms right now? We only saw three realms so far, we know that the forces of chaos rose and drove back the forces of Order and Destruction in the Age of Myth, they overthrew the pantheon of gods. Sigmar build an army to reclaim the mortal realms one day. With the Age of Sigmar he threw down his Stormcast Eternals. Wars in Realm of Fire, Life (-> Sylvaneth), Beasts. Nurgle and Khorne's forces are driven back, they both had big footholds there, but their powers are now declining. Alarielle got reborn in her War-Aspect.
- It's now Tzeentch's time to try to claim to be the head of the chaos pantheon.
- Forces of Order have now bases in some of the realms, re-populations begin. New cities!
- Season of War campaign - some of this elements are now incorporated in the narrative of the ongoing world/story line. Basically - this book is your fault - There are already agents of tzeentch out there in the cities. Tzeentch is playing the big game with style. He is trying to get dominance over the other chaos gods - Sigmar is secondary.
- 2016 was an awesome year for gamers of AoS - both competitive and narrative games. AoS is doing great!
- Not only new human population - also new beasts population.
- DoT is not only about the Arcanites, it's an evolution of the classic battletome. Created with feedback from the community.
- The Tzeentch book covers ALL OF TZEENTCH. If you got Tzeentch, this is for you.
- It's got lots of stuff. Like tzeentch daemons, tzaangors, arcanites, tzeentch mortal army (chaos warriors, slaves to darkness). Huge amount of models. Some new ones, some old ones. Ogroid Thaumaturg is in
- There are still human kingdoms who survived the Age of Chaos. Scattered remnants of tribes that once where great kingdoms, a few may have found ways to hide from Chaos. Also people are moving back in and build new cities - tzeentch already has spread his seed though ...
- Years happened between the last book and this one! Enough time to build a city.
- Cover shows a LoC!
- 136 pages.
- Big release over several weeks. Loats of stuff.
- New Path to Glory. If you are playing narrative, for the first time they have included the PtG for that army!
- Full spectrum of building a Tzeentch Army!
- New tzeentch dice rolling mechanic for your army^^
- You can't change the dice, but choose to use one of your tzeentchy dice instead (you get nine at the start of the game).
- In order to get this, you must be playing an army of Tzeentch! (of course ^^). Any, as long as it's tzeentch (daemons, arcanites, or a mix!)
- Expand your collection, use your collection or get a new one - or a mix!
- New Command traits for different sub-factions. Three charts. Arcanites, Daemons and Mortals.
- Arcanites are sneaky. Mortals are more the "traditional" chaos army.
- New Lore of Fate - the ones for Arcanites and mortals.
- More spells! Also, the Lore of Change. It's for daemons.
- Two very different ways, you can also mix them.
- Gaunt Summoner - keyword daemon, mortal and arcanite. So he can pick from both lores! Lvl 2, also has his own spell. He's gonna be great!
- New narrative warscroll batallions (similiar to the Sylvaneth ones).
- Points are in the book.
- New models. New Tzaangor on disk - it's a Tzaangor Shaman. Lot's of spells.
- Tzaangor Skyfires. Tzaangor guys on disks with bows.

Right, sorry about the quality, these screenies were taken as they were talking, you can still zoom in and they should be readable.

Yes, one for Arcanists the other for Demons. The Gaunt Summoner is both, it seems, unfortunately this was only talked, no pretty pic confirming this

Nope. As he said "I will be telling exactly when this will be released: Very soon"
Other than that, we just know it's January. Sorry, TZANUARY

Also if you have the keyword tzeentch you can use this book, mixed armies of tzeentch and slaves to darkness! Oh boy! I know what my project is going to be.
Also as a Death fan considering battletomes follow the same format in new iterations I can rest somewhat. I did ask them in chat that Death could use a similar tome.
They noted my "feedback" will be passed on to the right people. I hope *fingers crossed*
YAY TZEENTCH! PRAISE CHANGE.

They said the release will be over several weeks so I expect there will be more new models considering the cover of the tome a new LOC is a given I think.

It looks quite a bit different to me. Much slimmer arms, no armour, I imagine if anything there'll be a LoC kit with a fateweaver kit sharing the sprues than Magnus.

From what they said on the stream this sounds AWESOME. They're iterating fast on these Battletomes, which is too bad for people who got some of the first ones, but very good for the game overall. And seeing as I've already got a Mortal/Demon/Arcanite force in progress....
Automatically Appended Next Post: Also you didn't talk about Destiny Dice:
At the beginning of the game, you roll 9 dice and keep the results.
At any point during the game, BEFORE a dice roll, you can choose to use one of your Destiny Dice instead of rolling. The result of that dice roll automatically becomes the same as the Destiny Dice you used.
This is going to be INSANELY powerful.
Oh and that Shaman will suck in match play. The Skyfires will be craaaaazy with that movement and ranged attacks with rend and D3 wounds.

Perfect timing. I wanted to Ally my Magnus with a bit of a Flying Circus of LOC's, but I wanted new models before I did. Terrific news.

Honestly I do think the next general's handbook will be most interesting in context of this new tome I could see certain factions being able to more easily work together without losing benefit's like disciplines of tzeentch just relying on the tzeentch keyword. As I said before as Death player I feel this format will work best for death since they suffer similar problems to tzeentch.

1) The tease was fantastic. Saw some models, piqued my interest, made me want to tune in to future streams. I was already planning on it, of course, but honestly they just made it more and more interesting.
2) It looks like Boon of Mutation can be used to replace slain Tzaangor models. Since you can add them to a nearby unit, you should be able to add models back to the original unit up to the starting size and not suffer Summoning Pool penalties, no?
3) Just the overall feeling I get is that this will be one of the strongest books when it comes out. Tzeentch is already good, but are held back by casting Rule of One. Getting two lores on top of the other buffs is just going to make Tzeentch armies monstrous, probably the best shooting army in the game, even above Skaven imo.
Really hyped for this one. I probably won't even collect this army but the impact of this Battletome itself is huge.

*annnnnnnnnd that's the sound of me playing AOS again and my Tzeentch Daemons finally earning their round bases*

FWIW, that Skyfire Arrow of Fate is the first Tizz shooting with any rend, and one of the few attaks in the army with any rend (that isn't a behemoth). In my experience playing AOS DOT that can be an issue ...
BUT fakk me I'm excited to buy my first battletome
It also seems the newer stuff have low armor saves so armies that can deal with infantry should being able to deal with this. Well depending on how you build your tzeentch army but considering all you need is the tzeentch keyword to get the battletome efffects I think we will see interesting armies.

Lack of Rend was less of an issue when you could spam Arcane Bolt for MWs, but that was cut a bit with TGH and Rules of One. Now that you have a lot more spells that can deal MWs, as well as a decent shooting unit (points pending, of course), and potentially more new stuff from the releases... I think there will plenty of ranged damage coming out of these guys. As there should be, being Tzeentch and all.

I assume we will get boxed Blue and Brimstone horrors too.
Yeah, the blue and brimstone horrors are highly anticipated in my neck of the woods. I love that they brought back the horror 'split' and even expanded on it. Super stoked!
Also, I'm glad I held off on the 40k Tzaangor box...here's hoping the AoS box is a bit cheaper sans the 40k bits. say $40 instead of $45?

If there is a new lord of change / fate weaver kit, I suppose my plan to use the metal models as demon princes of tzeentch will work out perfectly, and exactly as planned.

Are those little baby Screamers floating under that Disc?!?! Adorable and creepy at the same time!
Hopefully the new LoC isn't too big. I JUST bought a box of Crypt Flayers and some feathered wings to convert some LoCs for the Omniscient Oracles formation.
I was relying on the fluff the LoCs often chose to look frail and weak to deceive their enemies. Afterall the metal/finecast model isn't that big, only its wings, head and hands make it appear big (all of those features I plan to reflect in my conversion).
A large plastic LoC would invalidate the models I haven't even finished yet.
