I'm one of those horrible people who hasn't done anything nice with their bases, so the models don't look finished. I have no idea what kind of basing would look good without being distracting. I'm not wanting to do anything complex, so probably just texture and drybrush. But I don't know if darker or lighter colors would look best, if I should pick something black like ash that goes with the scheme of the models, or red which is totally opposite of their color. I just don't have the type of eye to know what would look good with them so was hoping for some suggestions.

For some reason this picture makes the blue on the cloaks look really bright, which they are on the inside but in person the outside of the cloaks are actually a very dark blue, almost black as they had 3 black washes applied.
