Hi guys,

So I bought some Respirator upgrade packs from forgeworld to stand my cadian guardsman out as veterans. I want to paint a good lens effect preferably a darkened burnt orange effect as the image shows. Are there any good guides on how to do this with orange in particular? and what colors would be recommended? My friend suggested the spiritstone techincal red but personally thats not the effect im going for, but I think that could potentially fit the tip of a lasgun, does anyone here have experience with that?

I'd appreciate any guidance on lens painting! (I have watched duncans vids but looking for something a little more comprehensive and not in video format)

I like to use this guide as my reference for lenses, gems etc , I don't always do all the layers up to you how to want it to look.

I think the photo you have attached is the one from the bottom of this page, hope it helps.
