So this model was the result of an idea I had several months ago. The thought had been, well, why don't women pilot Imperial Knights... So.. I came up with a back story... The original pilot of a Cadmus Imperial Knight suffered a subtle head wound making, causing just enough damage he could no longer pilot the family knight. His twin sister took it upon herself to undergo the bonding process and succeeded. To keep the family holdings intact, the twins began a ruse where all would think he was the pilot, but at the last moment, she would slip into the cockpit. The sister became quite adept at warfare and was making quite the name of her family, until one day she was exposed.
Terrified of the repercussions, she fled in the knight, and would have been caught had she not stumbled across a rogue trader deep in the woods engaging in some less than desirable financial transactions. Since that day, the newly christened 'Boom Queen!' moves from battle to battle, helping to put down the enemies of Man, on her terms.

I painted the majority of the knight in the colors of House Cadmus, showing her original heritage. However, due to her maverick status, her ability to find repairs is limited. The lower half of the right leg came from a House Taranis knight that wasn't using it any longer.
Several patchwork armor plates were attached at various points to show battle damage that could not be properly repaired.
The chain sword was loosely inspired by Lollipop Chainsaw.
The general feel of the icons painted on the armor came from a 'Tank Girl' theme I had been kicking around for a while.
The base was my first foray into using cork.
The pilot, was a re-purposed House of Escher gang leader from the Necromunda game from back when.

Overall, I am rather happy how things turned out. I was forced to teach myself new ideas on how to shade over larger surfaces. The real killer was figuring out how to freehand paint. I'd love to hear some feedback.

Very Tank Girl feel to it, although my neck hurts from trying to look at the pics. Can you rotate and re-upload?

Big fan. Toed a fine line between 40k and Tank Girl perfectly!
Is it magnetized? Trying to figure out how you got it to stick to the wall sideways...

When I crane my neck hard enough I really like what I see. It reminds me of the early days of Rogue Trader when everything had that 80's punk feel. Marines had "Kill kill kill" stenciled on their shoulder pads. Lots of mohawks.

Awesome stuff, Tank Girl Knight!

Is it canon that women don't/may not/can't drive Knights? Or just a bit of color for this story?

As for rotation did you use an iphone? Apple's software sometimes does this.

The very recent novel Kingsblade has plenty of female Knights

The Model looks amazing love the skull side of the helmet!
