So I had a thought - using a Realmgate as the base for a wave serpent going for the look of the wave serpent entering the battle through a waygate sort of effect.

Step 1: buy Realmgate. Mmmm this doesn't really look wide enough for a wave serpent to pass through.

Step 2: widen Realmgate and green stuff.

Step 3: base coat grey, brown on stonework, whites/greys added to arch, black marbling.

Update: Placed WIP Wave Serpent into archway to get a feel for how it looks. This is one element of my Armies on Parade entry.

Are you going to use any reds at all on the Serpent? If not, then red. If you are, I think electric blue would work really well.
