That second picture is really great.
They look good on the photoes. I am conserned the 2 in cloaks will not look so good, with blue and green having little contrast. The red cloak is great. The rest looks very good. Males me wanne paint skeletons again. I loved it when I played tomb kings.

Thanks, not even fully dry yet and I just had to photo them. Great minis. Just great. I did away with the lighter green highlight, it's just not evil enough. But you are right, might need a few adjustments.

Nice stuff!
The shade is pretty thick, but that's appropriate for these guys. Did you dip the minis?

Very cool - going to pick a set up myself. I do think your bases could use more contrast, would make the minis stand out a bit. They look a bit slapdash/wet at the moment.

Actually not too much wash on the models themselves, but the bases are heavily covered with black ink (not diluted)- I was aiming for a real muddy, earthy battlefield/ graveyard feel. I wanted them to be proper "risen from the grave skeleton warriors, not dusty "clean". Will probably tidy them up now that the bases have dried up nicely and based on your feedback.
As for the minis themselves, no dipping!!
I know my limitations as a painter, I will never excel and don't have the time- but I try.
I did not basecoat the model for a change (I usually basecoat black), instead I applied a base of a black ink, which was a gamble, but left that nice bone colour intact. Then I painted all bone with citadel white, followed by "bleached bone" followed by some devlan mud. Then a little tidying up with white or bleached bone or my black Staedler 0.05.
Used desert yellow for leather and wood, followed by brown or sephia ink respectively.
Metal was administratum grey, drybrushed with necron compount, then black wash followed by mithril highlighting.
For rust effects I used some typhus corrosion, touched up with ryza rust. In some places I drybrushed a little necron compound over the rust.
I used bronze instead of copper for the other more antique classical metals, followed by the sephia ink, then drybrushing some gold for shine. For corrosion I just used a little nihilakh oxide- few dabs with some smudging with my finger to offset shine here and there.
Thanks for the honest critique and encouragement.
