Alright, so after an extremely busy year ( moved, new job, married! , no internet ) I can slap some paint down on some models, and what better way to keep the momentum rolling, than a P&M Blog !

Wanting to do a very unrepresented and swept to the side ( atleast in my area ) , Slaanesh was the natural choice.

The fact Im an avid horror fan with Hellraiser being one of my earliest favourites, just adds more fire

So here it is ladies and gents, the start of my Hosts of Slaanesh army for Sigmar.

I ordered :
Sigvald the Magnificent
Lord of Slaanesh on Daemonic Mount
Unit of Hellseekers

Starting with the models i've always admired but never seen in person let alone painted, I figured it was a very safe bet

I ordered the throne as well, purely for Rule of Cool. It will play no part in this army at this stage, however want to keep it aside for use in some future project.

Hellraiser influence sounds good to me. Bring it on.

I love Sigvald the Magnificent, one of my favourite models of all time (though mine is metal). Wish I was a better painter to do him justice. Look forward to seeing your progress.

Me too. Ive always loved the model and really want to get my hands on the Sigvald novel just to get more of an insight into his character. Thanks ! Progress pics coming!

Hell yeah. Always wanted to do a Dark Eldar army with a Hellraiser Cenobyte theme, but Chaos is just way cooler...

Update !

Sigvald has come along quite fast. I'd say hes not that far off completion.... his cloak needs a fair bit of work, but other than that its down to mainly details like gemstones and face, and basing. Gotta say loving this model more and more.

Wanted to give a little nod to his backstory back in 8th Fantasy where he gets lost in his own reflection, so tried to make the inside of the shield as shiny as possible

I have managed to finish Sigvald, and begun assembling the Hellstriders. I've decided to go with the Helmetless heads, and save the Helmeted ones for conversions on my Warriors of Chaos regiment that's going to go with this army

Quick update :

The Hellstriders are assembled, riders sprayed white and steeds sprayed black ! Little short on time lately to work on these lads, but I'll try to get some photos up tomorrow and hopefully some paint not long after
