I got a bag of second hand marines and at the bottom of the bag were these two sprues that I don't recognize didn't know if anyone knew what they may be from.

Those aren't citadel, I was going to say Fanatic but even they have the name etched

Is there any marking on the bottom tag?

No markings on the hangers, could they be warmachine or horde?

...now that Rybrook has cudgeled my brain into motion with the sprue, I think that might be old Ral Partha or Ironwind Metals stuff, probably gun arms for battle tech. I think most of their stuff comes on that style of angled runner. Heck if I could tell you which mech though. (or possible flames of war? I know I've seen that style of sprue)
Do the other sides have mounting pegs or holes for same? Might at least tell you if they're arms or barrel extensions.

There was an old company that used to do metal sci-fi miniatures and it started with a...V? I want to say Void, but that doesn't bring up any google pics. Late 90's, early 2000's era. For some reason that's what this makes me think of.

Void was a game originally from I-Kore Games Ltd. (went out of business c.2004). Void 1.1 is currently available from Scotia Grendel.

Also starting with a 'V' was Vor: The Maelstrom, published by FASA with miniatures from Ral Partha.

defeat. It would seem that stupidity is as eternal as war.'
