I'm just trying to figure out how to do a metallic green should I mix a silver and green, should I paint a thin layer of green over silver? Or should I just paint and highlight in silver and use a transparent green? Idk

Otherwise, silver with green ink over the top will do the job.

Don't mix silver and green paint, that just spreads out the metallic pigment and gives you a washed out, not very metallic colour.

Silver + green contrast paint (or any diluted ink) on top works well.

Stormhost silver and the green shade/ green contrast should do it.

EDIT:
Having a quick look on Google most go for a gold with green shade/ ink.

Gold would certainly give a richer green.

You can mix regular paints and metallics. yeah it might not be as shiny but in fact you might like the look. you can buy green metallics like vallejo mecha line I think has some? and others. And of course you can use ink over metallic color. For whats it's worth Contrast over metallic base can work well, I've seen some results with it. Problem solved. Color shifting and metallic acrylics, many shades.

Yeah I'll go that route I'm gonna do some tests and see which looks better gold or silver also probably gonna get warp lightning contract se if it's the right shade

I would go for a darker shade than that, also contrasts mix well so you might try mixing in a little brown along with some medium. Don’t just slop it on either, I use a flat watercolor brush to cleanly apply the stuff so I get fewer tide marks. A recess shade over the top will help give you a grimier, more defined color.

Do you think ork flesh would be a better contrast than warp lightning?

Warp lighting is like a plasma glow green, it’s currently the brightest. Ork with a little brown in there would give you a darker, grimier look. The gray thinned with medium is a nice color to put on guns too.

You can try Greenstuff worlds Metallic paints. Otherwise, as has been said, Green contrast paint over metallic paint. I've seen a few youtube videos of people testing out contrast paint and that seems the best method.
