When I started, I had a fledgling High Elf army, but very few people around me played fantasy. At about 13, I save up enough to buy a couple of mobs of boys, and mom bought me a basic warboss to help me get going.

20 years, 5 editions, and a long time rolling around in a box after I had stopped playing Orks, I found him in storage Friday night! missing a few pieces, little worse for wear, but at least he has original arms! I threw a base together out of green stuff and skulls I got out of an old fantasy regiment I inherited at some point. It may not be DakkaDakka level great, but I was sitting looking at it in the holder after I finished it Sunday, and decided I might as well share.

Model is the pewter 3rd edition warboss, the backpole is from a current generation nob kit. It was interesting having to go back and ship the superglue off from my 13 yo "mo betta" assembly sessions! I'm currently building a DeathSkulls army, but this guy was bought and built for speedfreaks. I went overall red, and added a blue shoulder pad and some bits of blue paint..... he found out the big mekks from da blue boyz steal all da fast humie stuff, and they still let him paint part of it red! I plan to do a unit of nobs to go with him as well for grins.

any idea how to display the pics vertically
