Hi everyone.
Please see the image. This is very annoying. Would it be possible to paint over the chipped area and get it smooth or will it always be obvious? Is the only other option to take all the paint off the paint on that part of the model and start again?

You'll probably have difficulty covering that. Your issue is that your paint is too thick, which is why that chip has flaked off. Work on layering your paint in thin coats.

Thanks for the tip, it’s probably too thick because I have put about 400 thin layers on there, I’m only recently starting to have any success using white on my minis

Apothecary white is a godsend. Trust me, pick a pot of it up and wonder how you did without it when painting white.

White is a tricky paint to layer. You need to start with a light grey first, and work up gradually. This will also look better and more like a realistic white.

Just sand the area to even it out with sanding sticks, then apply some coats of matt varnish (which is acrylic resin). Varnish is pretty good at evening areas, going into cracks and fixing other microissues. Re-apply paint and then varnish the area again.

GW. It's a contrast paint.
