I posted this a few days ago but would really appreciate some feedback please as I have never done this before.
So this was my first go at painting a vehicle.
I went with red and urban camo paint job as I have given the Ork’s that accompany him Urban Camo trousers.
Have to say I am really pleased with it.
Process wise I use a mixture of GW and Army Painter
Used a piece of sponge with tweezers and AP plate mail metal for the beaten up areas, then sponge again using AP dry rust, then did an AP dark tone wash.
Then added the heavier areas of rust with a brush and went over the pistons with weapon bronze and the sharp used edges, plus a couple of fresh bullet holes with plate mail metal again.

I like the bits of camouflaged plate. It gives the impression that this was cobbled together from multiple sources. And the dirty white with the rust stains is nice as well.

Good job. There are visible seams on the containers on the back, but I understand that they are difficult to remove) But you can. Gold hydraulic cylinder rods? Unusual). I wanted to say about the blood on the claws, but I thought-the model is already red, there will be no contrast. Good, very good.

Thanks, the camo was a by product of not being able to decide on a trouser colour for the Orks, as for the white that was partly a happy accident. The white citadel paint I have is rubbish, don’t know if it’s a bad batch but it has partly dried out takes ages to get lumps out and covers poorly. I decided to use it over the decent Army Painter stuff I have as I wanted a “painted by Orcs” sort of look.
I had actually completed the painting and top panel on the head was black and just didn’t give any contrast, so I overpainted it and re applied the damage and rust, turns out doing just one coat of rubbish white paint is a decent effect Automatically Appended Next Post: Massive_Damage wrote:Good job. Thanks
The gold is actually a bronze but the daylight bulb in my lamp died and this one seems to make it look more gold than it is, I just thought there was enough silver metal on it already and I was excited at being in possession of 2 shades of bronze.

Nice job.
For constructive feedback: you need to separate the various components more with deeper shadows, brighter highlights and black lining. This will make the model "pop" more as opposed to looking like a "blob of mixed colours".

Great job!
This is a fun model to paint and so great for your first vehicle. I like that you have something going on with the base as well without over powering the model.
Besides what other people have said, it could be an idea to pop some highlights under some of the larger paint chips. This will help with the sense of depth.
