I've got a couple of unpainted 90s era gorkamorka warbikes and wartrakk which I'd like to get painted up. Thinking the wartrakk could take a few modifications and be a decent proxy for the deffkilla wartrike.

Only issue is that the orks on those models are really puny looking. Not sure they were even at the same scale as regular orks... so no matter how carefully I paint them up, not sure they're going to look great...

So my thinking is:

For the bikes, keep them largely the same but replace the riders with the ones from the new warbikers.

For the wartrakk... replace the driver with another warbiker rider and the gunner with the warboss from the deffkilla wartrike.

So... any suggestions for where I could get my hands on those boyz? I've done a bit of googling and various bitz stores have them out of stock. Any advice would be great.

I would also check out Puppetswar:

and Models and minis (they have a specific Quad driver that might work)

Thanks both

Sadly all out of stock in the sites you mentioned but I've got in touch with the site owners to ask about restocking.

The Models and minis quad rider might work - looks good. Although shame to have to buy the whole kit just for the rider. But I'll have a think... maybe can use it for something else.

No worries

and yeah you will find the cooler and more popular parts tend to sell out very quickly on the bits sites.

You can buy the driver separatly:
https://www.modelsandminis.com/Mad_Mekz_28mm_Scale_Scrap_Driver/p2965327_14798694.aspx

By the way both companies (Models and Minis and Puppetswar) deliver good quality. I got lots of stuff from them over the years.

some more sources: Maxmini:
https://maxminishop.com/products/biker-orcs
(be warned: while I have ordered two times from them and were satisfied, I heard some complains of people taking part in their kickstarter and never getting their minis)

Madrobot:

Blightwheel: (notably the "mutant rider"
https://www.blightwheelminiatures.com/wandering
=> they take their time delivering, but their stuff is pretty cool and good quality

Edit: and of course Kromlech. Especially when they are celebrating Orktober:
