Hi all,

Getting creative with my second squad of 'gryns. This is #1 of three 'ghoulgryns' I'm working on. I can't decide on a colour for the belt. I'm going with fenrisian grey on the gun and a small shield.

Anyone else made up some 'gryns as zombies or similar?

Cheers!
Abs

Hmm I've seen some sculpts of nurgle ogryns, but your doesn't seem to be going in that direction. What's your plan for them?

I've never actually played a single game of W40K. I just like painting miniatures. My first squad of gryns I called Beebop squad because the first one came out looking like Beebop. This squad will look like zombies. The third theme I haven't decided on yet but there will be another squad. I enjoy painting them.

I'm building a diorama that these will eventually be in, but again, not in furtherance of game play, just for the hell of it.

Thanks!

Good for you, man! I was stuck on the Warhammer carousel for years, constantly having to change my army and/or repaint stuff to keep up with the current meta/edition.
It became a chore. I never just painted stuff for the hell of it; everything had to be strictly rules/lore legal.

I've since leaned heavily into painting for fun instead of painting for the game. That's how my two miniature-based webcomics came about.

I look forward to seeing more of your future projects.

Thanks! I'll be putting all the progress pics etc in my other thread called 'rate my space marines' https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/798986.page
I've never been one for following the rules, or doing what everyone is doing.
