For a DZ2 KS, I'll think about anything that is 'hard plastic'. Especially terrain.
But other than that...
Yeah, I may be in for rule updates/expansions, maybe new terrain, and maybe plastic troops if they show what I can expect ahead of time.
Just watch out for material switches after the pledge manager goes out. I'll wait for retail on anything Mantic from here out.
Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

Yay deadzone wave 2 arrived. Everything present and in good condition, though still have to check through each package.as usual. The labeled packages was convenient. Slpicase and hardcover both very nice.

Another DZ KS? I think manic needs to slow down here or the same problem will happen with DZ as happened with DB. They released far to many teams and expansions far to quickly that I lost interest in the game. There is now so much stuff for DB I can't keep up. If it were drip feed to me I would've lapped it up, now not so much.

Another Mantic kickstarter... do I give them one more try?
I still haven't played Deadzone yet, which is clearly my fault, and not Mantics, but after building a full wave one set out of restic, I'm absolutely done with that material unless I have no choice (looking at you, Privateer Press).
Looking into my gaming crystal ball, I'm not sure I'll need another game/army/setting, but I'm willing to take a look at the sculpts and see what they're making.

Whoa... not a single base, arm, sprue... anything... missing from my 8kg wave 2 order. The asterians and forge fathers have amazing detail, crisp and smooth with much better mould lines, I could clean smooth surfaces (stuntie bald heads lol) with the back of my hobby knife too, just like plastic. I also really love the design of both, I think they came out really well. Great space stunties, they really nailed that aesthetic on the brokkrs and I have no complaints about the space elf robots, they seem fast and elegant as expected. Has Mantic nailed restic just in time to drop it for having nailed hard plastic too? The zombies look to have come out great after pawing through the sprues. Really hope they don't settle for good enough with the wave 3 plastics because what they did in wave 2 makes me really positive for Mantics future products.
Oh the resin first gen and reb commander were both beautiful too, nice and crisp. I'll have to compare them side by side with their restic counterparts so I can see the real impact of restic on detail for myself.
After this wave 2 DZ stuff I'm still 100% behind Mantics kickstarters still (maybe unless boardgame plastic). They addressed my concerns promptly (ie. unannounced metasls) and while not perfect especially in QCing packing their KS still give great value for a good or great product. I can see why others aren't ofc though.

Was cleaning some more MA minis last night. Most of the mold lines on the US soldiers were pretty minimal. A lot of them could probably have been skipped but it would have bothered me.
The only thing so far that bothers me a little is that the hot water trick only kind of works. My dudes have been retaining a pretty strong memory and slowly (takes a couple of hours sometimes) been recovering their original shape. Going to get some near-boiling water next round and see if over-correcting the offending areas will do the trick or not.

The idea is that DZ2 will fund Hard Plastic troops for Warpath factions, and get the WP Alpha rules out there, so that when WP does come around next year, A) people can see Mantic can do Hard Plastic well (the Zombies already prove this by the sound of it, but more helps) and B) they can go straight in with the tanks, special units and other toys rather than 'line infantry set 8'.

They're planning to use a Deadzone 2 "mini" kickstarter campaign to fund hard plastic troopers for the core Warpath factions. Seems they want to get this done in advance so that the Warpath KS, whenever it happens, can focus on funding other things. (Like vehicles?)

That is a great question. I'm in the same boat as you. Others have said they got their package without notification, but that doesn't really let us know if a stack of invoices dropped under a shelf or not. You can try messaging them on KS or e-mailing their customer service, but you will be hard pressed to get a response back anytime soon. It often takes a week or two or even longer for responses through those channels. I e-mailed Stewart towards the end of last week and got a response back in a few hours, but just pretty much saying shipping was still happening. E-mailed him again around 8:00 EDT this morning just asking simply if he could tell me when and how it shipped, but nothing yet. Not really sure what other options there are, so I figure I'll wait a couple more days before letting allowing the nerd rage to build.

It's in Ronnie's blog post today - I quoted exactly as Ronnie wrote it.
I guess I just glossed over the November mention, as I read it this morning before polishing off my morning pot of coffee.
Guess it's time to start saving pennies, because as "small" as Dungeon Saga was, I'm sure this will follow suit.
I thought Dungeon Saga was really well run, and Ronnie's comment about how they had more backers spending less is probably what they're going to be gunning for from now on.
I wouldn't be surprised if this has a buy in under 100 like Dungeon Saga as well. Maybe a good chunk less, depending on what's included, since it "technically" isn't a complete game- yet, at least. It very well may be a standalone expansion by the time funding finishes.

Except for the Zombies. What were you looking for though? The prices are already pretty damn good. Enforcer or Peacekeeper hard plastic sprue for $10?

I was hoping the booster bundles would continue not to worry I'll get the Asterian and FF one and put the $10 to something else, trying to keep this to about $100. Individual Striders is good I could do with 1 more.

Ahh, gotcha. Yeah, I didn't imagine those going much further. Those booster bundle deals were disgustingly good.
