It is basing render from 4Ground. £3 for a tub and lasts a long time, plus I use it for terrain. I just glue model and whack it on.

Revanents look pretty sweet. Very effective, and it looks like a pretty quick scheme!

I like the Revenants and Skeletons, i think they are a really under appreciated kit, a great price point and I love the models. Good to see you getting the regiments done so quickly, and you are right it is nice to have a quick scheme for a game where you need a lot of minis. As long as they pass the 3 feet rule they are good to go.

I see on the previous page that you have some Wights, sadly I think they are gone fro the new KOW Undead army list (at least in the beta).

Thanks Thraxas.

Got my first batch of Irish done. The skin is too dark but I was trying something new... Might need to Matt varnish a few bits.

More prep of minis. Skeletons, Black Hat Hobbits, Lucid Eye Monkey things, Warlord Germans. Been working on more Dark Age Irish from Footsore too. Need to work out what weapons to give some of them so I have a mix of spears, slingers and swords men

Was going to say the thatch needs a brush lol

Looks like an interesting game in the background Crimson Fists vs the monsters of the Dark Forest?

Giraffe, just my dwarfs versus my Undead, and they are on,y there as I haven't sorted storage for them yet.

And some hair dressing going on... Might need to dilute some more PVA and brush it a bit more in places.

Teddy Bear fur is great. Really like how they turned out.

Got a model painted today. Happy with it. It is Merlin from the Footsore range. He'll probably be used as a leader in KoW or as a druid in a Celtic faction or something. Just need to varnish and base.

Based and with friends, or potentially enemies if Merlin is in a Saxon or Welsh or Force of Nature army....again I might need to Matt varnish again.

I like the shaman/druid guy, the understated colors in particular. The Helfather looks great, too. Red and orange over black must have taken hours to get right.

Now showing a Harlequin Dreadnought!

Painting total as of 4/25/2024: 33 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain

Painting total for 2023: 79 plus 28 Battlemechs and a Dragon-Balrog

Thanks, Josh. About 2 hours of painting. Never again! Now varnished and based.

Getting a few bits and pieces done today. Cleaned up a few things, bit of varnish and started on some Dwarfs and more Dark Age Irish. Finished the organ gun thing but flocked base the wrong colour though....

I can't find my tub of Steppe grass which I use on my Dwarf army and it is annoying the feth out of me, as I want to get my driller based and finished today and add a few patches to my volley gun to blend it in.

Anyway, to add a bit of a contrast to my mostly blue dwarf army... Going to do my Spearmen in red with blue accessories. This is sort of the plan, I might even but red skulls on the shields, rather than just white.

More Dark Age Irish. Just to finish the guy on the left and add another to the base... They work out proper sized basing for them...

Dwarf scheme. I think it will work.

Have been doing some work today...Building, a bit of paint etc. Very unfocused.

Couple of metal models GSed. Will undercoat and see if I missed any bits...

Dwarfs getting done... Need to find and build more of these...

Some stuff getting varnished... Orc Gore, Dark Age Irish and Dwarf

And finished the driller... Am thinking I miss labelled my tub of grass...

I should have done more with the base, sort of like a ploughed effect but...

Productive enough morning...

Finished boar... They are a unit I will be doing slowly, like the rest of my Orcs. Any bits of left over paint, gets used up on them so they look individual but skin and basing ties them together.

Dark Age Irish, guy on the left finished. All individually based.

Close up

With their Fianna friends

Bit of building and undercoating

Finishing up Dwarfs

Now for a little break, and decide what I am going to paint next.

Arab and Dreadball mini painted. Lots of mistakes on the DB mini, but well I like the model, the casting wasn't great and I couldn't be bother with it anymore

And this is how I'm going to base them. Just need transfers for shields..

Wow! Looks like you've been busy. I've been slacking lately with my hobby related activities. Looks like I need to step it up a notch.

The convict dreadball team looks awesome. Great models, and you've done a good job with them, especially the top guy.

Cheers, need to get my ass in gear and get more stuffed painted.

Anyway, 3 more Arabs done ready for varnish and basing. Have transfers coming for shields. I happy how they are turning out, even if the colours aren't "historically" accurate. I haven't done much research.

Much more bold in my highlights, than usual.

Started work on this guy

And more work on steam tank...

Not much time for hobby this week. Also spent today sorting out stuff from my Dad's train set. A few pictures what we built years ago.

Also found some Skull White from at least 20 years ago...

Yeah, it is good. Shame the whole layout was never finished. Though going through all the stuff, I now have 100s of meters of wire, enough embossed plastic card to make a city and goodness knows how many bags of scatter.

More buildings
