Does anyone have any ideas on jetbikes for marines? Rogue trader ones are too small and too hard to come by.  I play space wolves and I know they dont believe in flying and the more arcane and strange aspects of the imperium but I think it would look really cool.

No idea man.. you basically summed up why no one has ever done it before. It does sound fairly intriuging though, ...try splicing together parts of marine bikes with landspeeders?

Ever see the movie Judge Dredd? They have intresting looking Jetbikes, mabe basing a conversion on that using some plasticard(sheet styrene), THe current SM bike, Chop the hell out of it, use the plasticard to give it more bulk, make the exaust look more like jets. THe only thing was, if I remember correctally, THe bike essentallly was a motorcycle that could fly.

Ah, the old Bullock Mk7 Jet Bikes (both versions!). I have a chaplain on the old pointy-nosed one, which doesn't look half bad since it's from the day before scale creep realy set in. Anyhow, I've seen some cool conversions using the current plastic bike as the basis and though I don't know who made them, I did manage to save (and find) an image of one on my harddrive:

As you can see, it doesn't need much converting at all! Just a flying base, some extra tubage for the jets at the rear, a piece of plasticard to divide the air intake (cut and shaped as seen), and to remove the space between the main body of the bike and the front wheel fender. Pretty slick conversion that is very reminiscent of the old Bullock style jet bikes and easy to do. Enjoy!

I think hoverbikes would look cool with round wheels along the
bottom set at angles on either side (ala the Matrix)

Thanks guys, what I was looking for is a sympol conversion and i got it.  The Bullock jetbike is probobly the winner but the other things definetly give me something to think about.

I would agree with Malfred on the "tilt-wheel" idea. Though I would consider using Tau drone bits instead of wheels.

Exactly what i did on my champion bike.

Made using

-2 'shields' from the Tau suits for the hover generators,

-One cut down space marine backpack for the back part to cover the gap of the missing wheel,

-two heads from the chaos sprue(smallest and largest one) for cover,

-the barrel on a lascannon (split) on the front for details,

-chaos smoke launcher half to make a headlight mounted under the front plate,

I know the image is really bad but thats what you get when you camera comes with your printer.

or wait for the hotly rumoured Dark Angel 'commander on a jet bike' model, although that won't be cheap.

I'm sitting here looking at a piece I acquired in an army purchase that looks pretty interesting. The guy was kind of a hack in most respects, but he's got a marine on a jetbike made out of a dark eldar jetbike with the front cowling left off. Looks a bit like the Imperial stormtrooper jetbikes from the return of the jedi endor chase scene.

wow... i just necroed the SHIETHOUSEN outta this thread. i think im going to start a conversion project and build that jet bike up there.

Random, but I've got three unpainted space marine jetbikes and three unpainted imperial guard jetbikes from the rogue trader era in my bits box that I can't be bothered to sell on ebay!

I made one for my MOTF with a conversion beamer on a bike. Even threw a sheathed power sword in there.

Space Wolves don't like flying, Space Marines don't have jet bikes. How about Bear cavalry?
