Looks great that they are no longer a resource, so I can take multiples. Or I'm ass-u-meing that there will be one unique named ship card and one non-unique ship card. The squadron upgrades are pretty good too- can you imagine one of these things next to a Dom Battle Cruiser or Battleship? Or any ship for that matter? I'm kind of curious what the Federation Fighters will be like now...

Last question, do you think that no matter how much damage they take, you still only remove one Fighter Token from the stack? That's always been one of the big attractions for me to take Fighters in the first place. "Oh, so you did 5 hits and 3 crits? Awesome hit! I'll just remove this one token..."

Wish we could get Romulan and Klingon fighters too...

I wish they were a little cheaper but other wise i'm really excited for this to come out, i'm glad that they count as a ship I was worried that they might not. I'm also hoping that it will have the fighter rule of only taking one damage as well I will defiantly be buying at least two of these.

The upgrades seem cool. I wouldn't hold my breath, but I think they will be limited to one per fleet. We won't know until we see the reference card.

So excited I could pee. I love my Hidekis as it is!

Exicited here as well. Depending on the rules (i.e. taking more than one or even the resource heidki with the 1st wave) you could start to put together a pretty aggressive Cardassian pure fleet with good manuverability (at least the fighters). supported by a cloaked Keldon.

I wish I could see the other ships in wave 10. I'm kinda interested in the Fina Prime for Khan, but highly depends on stats and upgrades. Also I really want to see what the Regents Ship ability before I commit to buy. If the regents ship ability is awesome, I'd use it as a klingon ship and pay faction penelty.

yeah it will be neat to see if there is a non unique version.

even if its just these fighters + the resource fighters it will be awesome.

as it it it will add a lot to dominion lists in faction pure.

Im really likeing games 120 ish points with the new tourney rules and faction pure.

Looks like you can play more than one with the non-unique version.

Yeah I just opened mine up and read through it. I was originally thinking WK wouldn't allow more than one, but was wrong . So after thinking about it I came to the conclusion LOOK OUT BORG META SHIFT! 3-5 squadrons of these will tear the borg apart if the don't have something like full assault. Cloaked fleet should actually be ok because the fighters only wat to modify dice is a TL.

Definitely look for things like Forward Weapons Grid, Secondary Torpedo Launcher, Fire at Wll, and cloaked mines to become very popular.

as the flag ships could easily *triple* the durability of the fighters, let alone the other benefits

New FAQ is up. You cannot assign any Resources or Admirals to the Fighter Squadrons. You also need a ship of Hull 4+ for each Fighter Squadron or Shuttlecraft.

Interesting they mention Suttlecraft.

Now does the Resource Hideki Attack Squadron fall under the requirement of needing another ship of Hull of 4+?

Being a noob, is it still worthwhile to pick up the prize hidekis as well and combine them with these or are these so much better as to render those obsolete?

id say yes, it does as I think thats the OBS intent, RAW maybe not, but its pretty obvious what the intent is.

glad they clarified it, as well as added a way to stop people from taking a fleet of nothign but fighters.

the hidkei prize resource are only 20 pts, and have a better ship text action IMO.

worth picking up IMO, or buy the fighters when they come out and print off a card for the ship textas its just one card different between the two packs

Very nice, it will keep the fighters from getting out of hand. Plus it makes sense to have a "carrier" for the squadron or shuttle.

I would say get it. The resource has a good text and you can always use it as a generic of the retail.

Throw a fleet captain or Admiral on Kira so she is a higher skill than the fighters. You want her to move after the rest of the fleet.

I'm thinking of a list with the gor portas and the hideki fighters along with something else. The plan is the gor would use its emp weapon (I forget what its called) to knock out a ship then have in the same turn the Hideki's attack the defenseless ship and take it out.

That's nice, might be even nastier with the Rav so you can shimmy out the way.

On a side note, I went into my FLGS today to pick them up ("We have the new wave in, yup), forgetting AGAIN that we get everything a month later no new hidekis for me yet...

I want to use the Gor because of its target lock ability, also I don't own the Rav.

Looks like the resource fighters also require a ship with 4 hull or more. I give some kudos to WK for getting on this one before the fighters became the next Borg.
