cadian datacards ..?

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

It's being discussed here, Red.

I'm completely in the dark as to what these are.

Same data cards as before, but with six unique to the Astra Militarum, they did the same for every release to date.

That covers the Objective Cards portion, but not the other part.

Wargear maybe? Or maybe they'll be peaches and include the order cards?

I really dunno. It's kind of exciting!

Hey, I'm excited for anything AM - even if it is just data cards.

I'd assume they'll be like the Raven Guard and White Scar cards: 36 Objectives and 6 Warlord Trait cards.

Could be order cards, though. Would make more sense over Warlord Trait cards (which RG/WS got because they didn't have anything else to put on the remaining cards).

Actually, I would think they'd do Warlord trait cards more than Order cards.

They did Order cards when the book launched.

Yes, and adding them to the TacOs would be handy- it can be rather useful to have multiple copies of the orders to place next to units when you issue them.

Cadians specifically, but yes. Also Baneblade & friends.

Hopefully this shows there won't be a Tyranid vs. AM campaign next year.

Great Thanks for the info

Will a new Astra Militarum Codex follow Mont'Ka or is the Tyr vs IG campaign rumor bollocks but the Codex will come in 2016 anyway?

There already was a Nids versus Cadians campaign book.

I guess Sad Panda meant this rumor

Don’t think the new year will slow down GW a bit.  The Tyranids Hive fleets will return with a campaign and an surprising opponent.

via a source who spoke to BoLS on condition of anonymity

The Tyranids release window begins in January 2016

This will be a Tau-style release with the following

New codex

3+ new units

Several older resin models will be consolidated into a multi-unit build plastic kit

1 new plastic Gargantuan Creature

The Tyranid release window will include a Kauyon-style campaign book that details the Hive fleet’s struggle against their opponent.

The campaign foe is Astra Militarum

Astra Militarum will be the followup 40K release window.

Any other information about the Cadian detachment?

I need to know if this book is a preorder for me, or a "wait until release and hope my local shop gets enough copies in".

No, there was a Tyranids versus Blood Angels campaign book(Shield of Baal: Leviathan) where the Cadians and Vostroyans made an appearance in the background but got no rules.
There was also a Tyranids versus Elysian Detachment 99 and Red Scorpions guest-starring the bodies of Cadians! campaign book from Forge World(Anphelion Project).

Just saying. There hasn't been a "Cadia versus" anything Campaign Book where Cadia actually got anything. I guess you can make the argument for "The Red Waagh!" but none of that stuff was explicitly deemed "Cadian", it's just generic formations.

Hmmm... Tempting.

The real question is whether or not I'll get to assemble, paint and use my Cadian army before these cards are invalidated by something new.

They did this before with Shield of Baal-Exterminatus with a Necron detachment and some WL traits What happened to them? The Nec codex came in Jan afterwards, were the rules invalidated?

So *if* both Tyranids and Guard are up for new codices early on in 2016, that'll leave just Chaos as the only remained 6th edition armies...

What are the odds GW skips Chaos entirely and makes us wait until 2017 and 8th edition?!
