Hi everyone. I recently picked up the hobby though a friend who has been trying to get me to start playing for years. I always enjoyed watching him and my other friends play when we were in college (10+ years ago at this point), but I was so overwhelmed by everything going on it was a bit of a turn off to it. He got me to start playing Kill Team last summer when our families were at my lake house together during the July 4th holiday. I finally got the itch. It was much easier to absorb rules for the skirmish game, and while I know its a totally different game, I was able to use that knowledge to help understand big 40k better. I've purchased and painted all the new KT2021 bespoke teams and am currently working on my Leviathan box I picked up a few months ago.

Welcome to dakka and to the hobby. Have a great time playing and collecting, before you know it you'll have more than you know what to do with. Have fun.

Hi there. Welcome.

It sounds as though you've found out the basics, and gone a way past that. If you've painted your models, get them in the Gallery. We want to see what you've been up to

40k (and Kill Team) can be difficulty to get into, and we get lots of questions about how to get started, how to expand. Leviathan is a great start, and not only for playing Space Marines or Tyranids.

Ask away, post up, and have fun
