hey all, finnaly got hold of a decent camera and thought i might just give you a insight on what ive been working on (ever so slowly) the start of my first 'fun' 1,500pt army list.

first ork vechile

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH

Right, Time get stuck in' wif' da' boyz

1 shot, 1 kill

mob shot, bit too shiny

diorama

C&C appreciated.
first attempt at ork skin, the mob skin was a long and boring technique of loooooong thin layers but the trukk driver and co are a simple snot green + thraka wash what you think is better?
it was long and painful but the end results were very enjoyable. the bases is a CoD distroyed ruins type but it doesnt show well in the picture. i am a lazy painter so i usually dont do
the eyes and stuff around the belly..

most favorite was thrakas head, i <3 it.

Cheers,
Gutteridge

Nice work so far.

suggestion one.... drill out the gun barrels. you could also do this with a fine pen exacto.

suggestion two.... dont use a flash but have ample lighting.

As far as for the rest and this is only my opinion but I think they could bennefit from a simple black wash. It would help that paintjob just snap out and say really nice job.

Keep up the work and enjoy the green monkeys.

I think Twister said everything I would. I think they are painted very nicely, the only sore parts being a few mold lines and no barrels drilled out. The skin tone is very similar on both, but there still is not alot of depth. Try a nice heavy coat of Ogryn Flesh as well, so that a good bit dries in the recesses.

"Orkses never lost a battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!"

I dig how in a setting where giant, muscled fungus men ride Mad Max cars and use their own teeth as currency, the concept of little engineering dudes with beards was considered a step too far down the aisle of silliness.

Ya sees 'ere, boyz? Dis 'ere be wot dem hoomies callz a "mold line."

Oi. Relly Cheezez sum ov 'em off jus' ta see it. Dat's why I leaves 'em on all me shootas.

Do yourself a favor on the next set, and clean all of your mold lines. it will add a tremendous amount to your finished minis. Especially if you're going to wash or dip them, as the was/dip will collect along the mold line.
