Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I was just wondering if anyone has heard from shartmatau about this? Is it just down at the moment? It was like this yesterday, too, but not on Friday. I know this because I filled out a custom dice order on Friday (no money involved yet). Does anybody know anything about this?

Yes I did receive your email for custom dice. I'm sorry but it will have to wait for awhile. I am currently updating quite a lot of both the website and designs. Unfortunately for the moment I am also swamped with my 'actual' job which is delaying a lot of my progress for the dice.

The site will be back up soon. For the moment I am not taking in new orders so that I can try to catch up with these updates.

Anyone heard if it's gone for good? I was thinking of getting the dice of the month (Beastmen) before the site exploded, but the total lack of info is off-putting.

If you have a picture in mind you can always just call Chessex....They are very accommodating and the day I called them had a sample picture emailed out to me within 4 hours. Seriously just call them.

Again, he's just revamping it. People are so impatient. It's coming back. If you still really really need new dice right this second, just email him.

It's plain unprofessional to let your site go totally dead for 2+ weeks. If he is revamping, he should leave the old site up with a message saying so. 404 or No Permission errors look like he is out of business. It has nothing to do with patience.

Calling Chessex is easy enough, but I was going to use his design to save me from having to do it.

Well, he's not a professional full time dice salesman. It's a small part time business at this point for him. Cut him some slack.

It does have to do with patience. People here have been told by the site owner himself to be patient and that he's not out of business. Not only that, but he just told you that 4 or 5 posts back in this very thread. So yeah, it has everything to do with patience. He said he'll be back- the he'll be back.

I'm cutting slack, but it's literally a <5 minute job to put a banner up saying that the website is remodeling and will be back live soon. As others have said, a 404 gives the distinct impression of a folded business.

I ordered some dice a little while before his site went down and must admit I panicked a bit, but when I got hold of him everything was sorted quickly.

It is indeed a simple thing to throw up a quick banner, but at the end of the day, it is his choice. If he wants to leave the site empty until he is happy with the design, it is his choice. If you think that is unprofessional, then don't buy from him, but why rant about it on here? He's a guy doing 2 jobs, and any of us who work know that sometimes one job can kick your butt more than you can handle.

Looking forward to when the new site goes up RiTides, will definitely be looking for some dice for my Space Puppies

I was going to order some as well, but by the time I thought of it the site was down. I'm fine with waiting though, it just means he's improving the site which can only attract more people hopefully.
