This is my 1500 point list that netted me 4th place this past weekend. There is another tournament going on this upcoming weekend at the 2000 point level and I need help, badly. I have never played a game larger than 1500 so I don't know the balance and the ways to work a list to juice out the most potential. Just need some suggestions on where to spend another 500 points and adjustments that need to be made. I was told that my list was solid at the tourney, and that the only guys that didn't really fit were the Terms. I agree. I just brought them along to sort of act as a deterrent to a deep striking MC or some other big nasty getting behind my lines. They are a lot of points, and am open to suggestions to spend them better.
C&C is much appreciated, there really isn't a theme that I am looking for so I am open to tearing this list down and starting over if need be. Thanks for the help!

Well I'm going to suggest 3 things to help you out my friend:
1) Multi-Melta Dreadnoughts have a 24" threat radius, I am not the biggest fan of them in the least bit, then again I am anti-melta in the first place. I would possible give one or both a Plasma Cannon and let someone else have some of the tank killing glory.
2) Pull a Vanilla Marine Terminator Assault Squad out of your Wolf Guard, toss in two Lightning Claws Terminators and maybe one with a Heavy Flamer, Toss them in a Land Raider and call it Sally. You'll be happy with the results.
3) Fill out the Long Fangs with Razorbacks if you have them, nothing says Heavy Support like 6 old farts with a Lascannon armed Taxi Cab. This will give you some additional punch in the face ability and well...some much needed ranged anti-everything that you don't want to get into hand to hand with (i.e. Swarmlords).
Possible List:
RP 115
+CotS +MB -LL/JotWW
RP 110
+CotS -LL/MH
PCDread 125
+HFlamer
PCDread 125

GHx10 200

+HBx3 +MLx2 +Lazorback
LFx6 200
+HBx3 +MLx2 +Lazorback
LFx5 180
+HBx2 +MLx2 +Lazorback
TOTAL: 2005
My math may be miserable at this point as I am sin calculator and enjoying St. Patty's Day :-)

Alright, so I have looked at your considerations, this is what I have come up with.
RP 135

RP 130
+Term. Armor +CotS -LL/MH
RP 120
+Term. Armor -LL/SC

GHx10 185
+Flamerx2 +Rhino
LFx6 200
+HBx3 +MLx2 +Lazorback
LFx6 200
+HBx3 +MLx2 +Lazorback
LFx6 200
+HBx3 +MLx2 +Lazorback
TOTAL: 1979
I know, no LR, but I really never feel like I get my points back with those things. I chose to go w/ LF's and lazorbacks instead. Tons of firepower. Plus another RP. I gave all RP term armor, just for some extra survivability. I dropped MotW because lately, my GH squads have been getting mulched in CC. So, I have sorta just been using them as mobile drop off and shoot up/finish off units and have had great success. Also went w/ plasmacannon dreads. Sound interesting to me. I feel I lack melta, but we'll see. Long rang AT has been on my lucky side lately.
So, idea is to put the RP's with the LF's and just shoot stuff all day long. Have the GH's as mop up and the WGT for some anti-MC/Deepstriker prevention. Dreads can either slowly advance to try and tie up weaklings in neverending CC, or just blast from a range as well.
Thoughts? I have 21 points left, so any ideas on where to spend them? I can also free up another 60 by dropping the Term armor on the RP's. Another 20 by reverting back to MM dread's instead of plasmacannon dreads. Thanks for the time guys! Like i said, I have never been above a 1500 point game, so another 500 points sorta scares me, lol.

With only 21 points think about throwing them into the Fangs. Perhaps try this loadout for them and see where that puts you.
LFx6
5x Missile
LFx6
4x Missile 1xLC
LFx6
4x HB 1x LC
This will add a few more str 8+ ranged shots to your list while still keeping some of the HB's for horde(which missiles handle almost as well).
Wanted to throw in that the PC vs MM Dread thing is situational and based on your local meta as to which will work better for you. Should base that choice off of those things and your personal play style with Deads.
Good Luck!

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee. |

Just want to mention that I hate Jotww- it looks good on paper, and i use it occaionally against low init. armies, but it doesn't do a ton of damage- usually, less than murderous hurrican or LL. May I suggest storm caller?

@Kaotik
Thanks for that suggestion! I really like it. It costs a few more points, but the term armor was optional anyway. Also, I agree w/ your call on the MM/PC dreads. I did not think of it in those terms. I believe I will be reverting back to the MM's cause of that very reason. I can't wait to try out those new takes on the LF's. Thanks again!
@Asgeirr Darkwolf
I agree with you 100%. I blame the new nid codex, lol. Fexes used to be a lot more prevalent before its release. Now, however, they are a rarity. And the mawlok/trigon and babymaking things are what i see now, all initiative 4. So it really has lost some oomph. I did bring stormcaller on one, but I still take JotWW just in case there is something that that shows up worth shooting at. Also, if you can get a good shot, you do get to make about 20 things take an initiative test. My opponent will fail a few! Thanks for the heads up tho!
