Playing at eight. Need some help. Basic list is good at 1500 but we've changed it up a bit. It will be 2000 points of IG vs. a 1000 point tyranid army and a 1000 point chaos sm army. They usually run Mawlaks and Trygons and Deamon Princes and other MC cheese.

I plan on bringing about 4 squads of IG in a platoon to slow them down with 2 hvy weapon teams of autocannons.
I'll also have a mechanized group to counter charge w/ 3 vet squads in 2 chimeras and a valkyrie and a banewolf.

Stormtroopers deepstriking with melta will deal with the chaos armor

Two ccs with plasma spam to cover the tanks rears.

What heavy should I bring? Executioner w/ pask? Punisher w/ pask? Standard LRBT?

Should I take a vendetta instead of the valk?



Heres the 1500 point list: (what should I add for the additional 500 pts?)

I play against CSM and SM almost exclusively, which is why my list is catered to killing things with good armor. I can adapt later when my friend starts playing tyranid by bringing half or more flamer instead of plasma.

The list goes like this:

1500 Pts

Basically I twin-linked my army because as guard... I need it to be effective.
I want to diversify the LRBT part, and maybe anything else to make the list more effective or diversified. I could take plasma pistols in these squads instead of marbo.. let me know what you think.

I'd say try and bringing 2 more valk's with missile pods, this gives your army more maneuverability and some extra ordnance against horde style, seeing as though the valk can move 12in and still fire laser and pods since they are defense weapons
