++To my anointed lord Inquisitor, I present to you evidence of Word Bearers activity in the Segmentum Ultima. They are beleived to be of the "XXVth Host" [cross reference: Word Bearer Legion + Organization + Host] Cult activities have increased planet wide exponentially before the sudden warp anomaly I had reported at 2543512 M41. Their first target seems to be the planet of Corulus designated C.7.56.2 in Imperial records. First contact noted drop landings deep in the salt plains of the Norman peninsula western sector by PDF scouting parties. Of the four, five man scouting teams sent to investigate only one has returned. The surviving team members (three in total) have been mangled and defiled with blasphemous symbols gouged into both their flesh and their armour. All three had their tongues removed and their eyes gouged out. The servo skull that accompanied the squad sergeant managed to capture a pict of its squads assailants before they were captured. We are dealing with a relatively small force but as my lord knows full well that nothing the Word Bearers enact is ever subtle and there may be more landings in the days to come. Contact with orbiting relay stations has been abruptly severed. "Bearers of the True Word" cult attacks have increased 100% with attacks focused on communication relay stations and key government buildings . If you receive this my lord I request immediate retaliation and Imperial Guard regiments to be sanctioned to reclaim what may well become lost. Marshal law has been enforced on Corulus and I await your word for the next steps in retaliation of the pending chaos forces. Attached is the pict capture taken by the surviving PDF scout team. May the Emperor protect. ++

I present to you my newest project, the Word Bearers XXVth Host of the holy daemon father Lorgar.
I have taken up my holy grimoire of the daemon and am proud to be spreading the True Word!!! *fires bolter and raises open book to the sky*

I am using a technique for a "gothic" armour style which I beleive suites the sons of Lorgar the best. It involves sculpting up the bottom legs of the WFB Chaos Warriors and then slapping a Chaos Marine torso to the waist. I had to give it a swing and of course once I did the one I had to keep going. The result of which you will see below as I have a small 5 man squad started and plan to add more when I get my hands on some WFB Chaos Warrior sprues. I don't see myself as an amazing sculptor but the technique is somewhat simple and will keep me working with GS so over time I will know how to handle it better. I've been pondering on adding GS "flesh" litanies here and there but I am doing small script all over their armour so that might be a bit much. Without further ado here are the current members of Squad Marghul....

The Aspiring Chump Marghul

Somewhat fuzzy detail of the base, I'm going for urban rubble so expect rebars sticking out of the sides and such

The squad so far....

Mag-locked chainswords...

So thats them. I had this vision of mag-locked chainswords, I've never liked the idea of space marines using straps to hold their chainswords and knives. I see it being more practical to mag-lock them to their armour, better then fiddling with straps and buttons me thinks.... They are pretty much ready for priming, unless off course I decide to add more to them but I might run the risk of making them too "busy". Let me know what you guys all think C&C are always welcome and deeply appreciated.

Thanks Paranoia Agent for the kind words.

A small update: I just finished my First Acolyte for the Host, Lemuel in TDA. He was a simple conversion, I've had the termie chaos lord since it was released way back when and figured he would fit perfectly in the Host. Hope you all like him.

I'll be getting around to taking a lighter pic tomorrow before work, I was just so happy to have him finished I had to show him off right away Should be adding some more to squad Morghul as it so happens I discovered some extra Chaos Warrior legs as I searched for Lemuel's bitz. C&C is always welcomed. I'll have some more A.S.A.P.
