I feel like Ahriman and Typhus are looked down on in games because they don't seem to be worth there pts but there fluff proves that they are good. How many people think that these 2 are going to be 2 of the best special characters in the next codex.

I've painted the Typhus model 3 times. It's one of my favorites.

I drove down to Gamesday Baltimore in 200...5?

To get him a week early when he was first released.

I hope that Typhus is a combat monster in the nex codex.

And Ahriman should blow any other psyker out of the water.

Like JotWW x1000. See what I did there?

BA/GK have already gone over the top in terms of charector power. Mephiston for example is basically an avatar with a 2+ armour save, 5 attacks and Strength 10.
I don't want to see the charector that can top that...

I don't want to see Ahriman become a combat monster like Mesphiston. I want him to be more like Fateweaver or Eldrad who will be able to help the army become more survivable. But I would like to see Typhus become a combat monster in the next dex.

Well with what I've seen in the rumour mill Ahriman Will be able to use multiple powers each turn automatically and multi-target so that right off the bat will be great.

I'd say they're definitely going to be in the top five characters in the next CSM codex

Ahriman and Typhus are BFF's!

I'm looking forward to seeing the Chaos codex get force multiplier HQ's (named and basic) like the other codecies have.

I'm looking forward to the Chaos codex getting a character per legion. And I still don't see it...

I'd prefer a Chaos Legions codex, just so they can't pull a Red Corsairs and say they gave what we asked for.

Nice derail we got here...

On topic, we will have to wait and see. Because right now, they aren't boss.

Typhus might be, if he had any sort of shooting attack with a better range than his scythe.

Typhus is awesome, truly an awesome combat monster. I used him to instant kill Pedro in a single round of combat.

The biggest indicator someone is a loser is them complaining about 3d printers or piracy.

I wouldn't say it's too hard to make Typhus or Ahriman good in-game choices, so I think it's fairly safe to say they'd be good characters in the next Codex.
Particularly as Ahriman's a psyker and psyker characters are usually pretty damn nasty...

You forget Typhus is also a psyker.

I'd tend to agree here.

They're often over-looked for Daemon Princes. If you use them correctly, then you can make them pretty efficient at what they do.

I'd like to see characters reined in just a tad and have increased viability for "vanilla" lords and heroes that you can upgrade yourself. Similar to previous rules editions where Special Characters could only be taken in 1500pts+ games.

No, I just wouldn't compare him to most psykers or Ahriman in terms of ability.

In the battlefield

I think all chaos special characters need eternal warrior. ALL the ones from the horus heresy have seen more battle than calgar and dante combined. why do they not have eternal warrior? that should be their perk for the next codex. I think its dumb to see kharn die to a power fist.

and Typhus needs to be T5 base so str 8 can't kill him if they don't give him eternal warrior

You are not free whose liberty is won by the rigour of other, more righteous souls. Your are merely protected. Your freedom is parasitic, you suck the honourable man dry and offer nothing in return. You who have enjoyed freedom, who have done nothing to earn it, your time has come. This time you will stand alone and fight for yourselves. Now you will pay for your freedom in the currency of honest toil and human blood.

And then he gets instagibbed by a powerfist, yeah, truly boss. All chaos specialcharacters but Kharn are a waste of points currently, even Abaddon ( who is far too expensive despite his good stats ).
If the stars are right the next codex will make them ( and all the other non character hq choices with the possible exception of the daemonprince ) useful again.

The sink.

Typhus and Ahriman are not boss.

Though for some reason Typhus has an easier time using psychic powers than Ahriman ...

Most of the ICs are really good and fun to play with for unqiue flavor, but people usually just ignore them in favor of a Daemon Prince.

In 5th yes, but look a codex back... He used to be able to auto pass his psyker tests.
