Building a blood in water scent

The wife and I are four episodes into the series Camelot. We like this kind of show, and we want to like this one, but generally we feel very 'meh' about it. Our misgivings are as follows;

Arthur. Bucktoothed little git gets on our nerves. Does he grow into his character? He seems woefully miscast.

Merlin and Morgan. Fiennes and Green constantly trying to out-glower each other in every scene is already getting boring. Does their acting settle down a bit?

Is there any epic battles to go with the epic boobage?

We are also trying the Borgia series but the acting is that one is laughably bad, on par with The Room.

We were once so close to heaven, St. Peter came out and gave us medals; declaring us "The nicest of the damned".

“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'”
