I need advice on colour schemes for high elves without white. I want to make the army look unique but not overly complex.

Will be using Silvers and gold for all the chainmail/armour etc so allow for that. I like the idea of turquoise/green ish sea guard feel to the army so was considering some of these. Of course any others are welcome at this stage, just wondering if anyone could recommend any good ones they had seen which were abit different!

I really like the first green, looks killer but could be too much for the table top. The blue grey one is a bit nicer on the eyes and probably wouldnt be so cluttery looking when seen in massed units

Wow. read my mind much? If i make the green/teal contrast enough It could work? Do GW do a teal style paint?

Hmm I want to see how this develops. The red/blue looks nice imo. May have to steal it XD

How about some purple and bleached bone guys with only gold used for the armour?

I think a lighter primary colour will offset such a heavy colour set as that green is.

That dude at the bottom with the two shades of blue shows what I mean nicely.

I've seen green high elves before and its an eyesore, a single colour is too much on these guys, their armour is pretty slim, so they do well with the contrast.

Will give those a try,

already have a very purple feeling Tyranid Army so could do with a change, though saying that it is my favourite colour.


I was fully intending to have two different shades of green to have that Sea Green feel or do you still think too much?
