Right behind you!

So... made the switch from vanilla to 40k and bought my first army late last year.
Made a start on the hand painted models and had to wait to Xmas to get my air brush.
This army has minimal conversions as I'm using it for competitions and don't want to increase the size of the models or possibly create problems with judges.
I haven't done much painting before and have no airbrushing experience so I'm looking for a little help with some tricks and tips that you may know.
I've watched hours of youtube clips and read plenty of articles to try to pick up techniques but there is a lack of quality tutorials.
So, now to the models. I had pretty poor natural light so i had to use the flash, i will update the photos when the storm clouds pass.

Great job really like the lightning across the hulls of the vehicles.

Why does Lady Madys have what looks to be a Kroot head or face.

Just what I was going to say.

Razorwing looks outstanding: I'd do all the vehicles that way.

The purple loin cloths don't work for me.

I LOVE all the lightening effects on the vehicles. The highlights on the armor of the first model look a little bit chunky, but the same could be said for some of my dark eldar. Overall great paintjobs!

Right behind you!

Thanks for all the positive input! As for why Malys has a Kroot head on, i read into the fluff and the archons wear decorated masks. Lady Malys is borderline psychotic so i thought a weird alien looking skull would suit her well.
I've gone down to a couple of the local GW tournaments and shown off my army. Won best painted each time now so i think i'm on the right track!
Last tourney i made a Lady Malys themed army, I'll post some pics of the other models i painted up.
I'm currently in the process of making a Ork blood axes themed force as I've gotten the conversion bug and I'll post a few pics of my orktimus prime trukk.

First is Lady Malys' raider - i added a few poison tongue icons and designs.

I put her with a court, so here is the Medusea

Ur-ghuls

Lhamean

I had a crack at the bat wing scourges and they came out quite well!

Here is the Orktimus prime trukk i started working on.

But then you could use something like the Troupe Leader from the Harlequins box head. That look borderline insane, yet it looks better than a Kroot head.
