I am after the rules for the above scenario from the 6th edition rulebook. Does anyone happen to know where I can find these rules if they are available online?

As I recall, you picked a point level, one side made a normal army and the other spend the same number of points on characters with no troop choices allowed. There was probably also a restriction on how many casters you could have, but I don't remeber offhand.

It probably wouldn't work well in 8E with Steadfast and all...

It'll be Goblins versus WoC Characters. We're not going to use steadfast for this as he new to fantasy

The 8th ed rulebook has a mission just like this FYI

That scenario is fun. I played it in 6th edition version.
As I remember it, the opposition was a 2000 point normal army, O&G in our case.
The heroes are 7 lord level heroes, which are allowed to be equipped per their normal item limits.
The goal was to get the heroes off the table through the opponents deployment zone.
I don't remember if the heroes are allowed to be mounted or not- I think not but am not certain.
