I am working on trying to get my painting score higher, and one thing I did not have was a 'heavily' converted figure.

I decided to break apart (I know, I know: ) a crisis suit with the notion to make a new commander.

The stuff done to the model is as follows:

----Custom made missle/plama rifle in one
----Taller legs - both broken and repositioned
----Custom head made with a trimmed down marker drone, the original helmet, and a markerlight.
----extended arm - broken and reset
----custom jet-pack system- both cut and reset 'sideways' to give a more "jump-shoot-jump" style jet system.
----Custom mounting system through the foot to give a more flying presentation.
----Custom mounted multi-tracker into the chest of the suit
----Custom up-armor tiles from left over flamers

I am hoping this will constitute as a heavy conversion, or will I have to go further?

I am open for all suggestions and critiquing, I know about needing to putty up some areas, that is the next step.

Thank you for looking and for your opinions,
Waffles

A couple people suggested a more slim-lined weapon system that was not so bulky. Looking over the missile/plasma rifle I had to agree.

I went through and made the missile system to effectively a 1 1/4 missile launcher. Here are a few pictures of the change.

Vry nice. Would like to see what it looks like at to a standard model.

The pose is cool, but I'm not a fan of the drone head. I think you could do well with a normal crisis suit head; the model's already pretty crazy in the conversion department.

Most of my models are pretty shandard. Here are two pictures of what my suits looked like before a tourney a week ago.

To be perfectly honest I agree with you, but I wanted to make sure that it is a full conversion. At a local tourney lately I lost 'best overal' by just a few points and i won all my games. I lost 10% of my painting score due to not having a "heavily customized/scratch built model"

Even you have to admit though, the new helmet is a bit more eye catching.
