Ok, so I'm attending a 4 game tourney where there are no named characters allowed. Which ovbiously sucks when your a deathwing player =\. But hey ho I always like a challenge so I'm attempting to put together a 1k darks angels army list that can hold its own in a fairly competitive scene.

Now the missions will be 2xAnnihilation and one each of capture and control and seize ground. Also the models I can field which are not included in the list below are: 10 tactical marines : devastator squad 3xML/2xLC :Scout squad w/BP&CCW: Veterans with various weapon options: Assault squad :2 more deathwing squads w/CML/CF/AC: Librarian and a Librarian in TDA.

I would also be willing to switch to a regular space marine list if you guys think multi-wing at 1k is impossible to win with.
So this is the list I've put together, its low of scoring units but has fairly decent shooting and some average assault ability. It can also be relatively fast and good at contesting obj late game.

Chaplain

Deathwing w/CML+ 5xTH/SS

Tac squad (5) w/MG/PF in Rhino w/Extra SB
Tac squad (5) w/MG in Lazorback

Landspeeder w/MM/TML
Landspeeder w/MM/TML
Landspeeder w/MM/TML

Dakka Pred

Looks good to me, only problem you'll encounter would be objective game types. Ever think about a Libby in terminator armor? Usually you're not gonna get to charge. Idk, have fun

The land speeders are a bit contradictory.

(TML is the Missile Launcher right? not showing up in yellow If it isn't ignore this lol)

Having a MM at 24" and a 'TML' at 48"(?), your going to be sitting miles away with a MM that cant do anything. Points are being wasted here.

A lone pred should have a friend :(

Actually I think you have pretty much the best list available.
Another lasback or a dread for a pred, the last unit is always going to be hard to squeeze in.
The only lists for the price for vanilla marines are a little weird and would not fit your models.

Typhoons with MM always make not sense to me but I still take them, obviously

Check with the TO and see if you can't have an exception made as Bel is essential in the Deathwing army. Or, if you can field a full DW *without* him.

Thanks man, the only problem with the libby in TDA is he more points than the chaplain and really doesnt offer much except some albative wounds and a LD 9 hood. I might try him in a few practice games tho and see if he fits the list better than the chappy. I wish I could squeeze some more troops in but the only thing worse than tactical marines is more exspensive tactical marines :(

Actually I really like the weapon loadout on the speeders, the range doesnt bother me on the MM as I can still move 12 and fire and it costs nothing to upgrade. Maybe I'll run them as typhoon pattern speeders for some practice and see, but I think I have anti-infantry pretty well covered

Thanks man, I've been trying to cut upgrades to see if I could squeeze in a whirlwind or a dread but its just not happening. Good point about the vanilla codex, TBH It would be fun to try and win with the DA codex. Fun and challenging =)

I really dont want to go down this route as I feel it would unfair to have the TO make an exception just for me, allthough Belial isn't much of an IC he does make a huge impact on the game letting me have scoring FNP terminators.
