Hey guys,

Got my first special order from a new Independent Dealer today. When it came in (it was an immolator), it was just in a carboard box, with loose bits. Is this normal? The owner also said someone ordered a set of Kroots, and they came in bubble wrapped together.

No, it is not normal. Your order was intercepted by the NSA and they replaced it with a new model kit that includes various spy equipment and GPS tracking. Once they have confirmed your terrorist activities you will be killed by a drone that homes in on the included radio beacon.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

I ordered some gun drones and they were individually cut sprues in ziplock bags. My finecast farsight have also just come in white boxes with no art - they just have the models name and some other scribbling on the box.

Sisters stuff come in either blisters, bags, or boxes. I'm surprised your Immolator came in a box though as all of mine were sent to me in clear bags.

My basilisk came in a brown box with a label on it with some info and the name. Nothing else.

Gw has stopped pretending it is anything but the plastic drugs we have always called it and have started shipping it in ziplock bags and brown envelopes.

Incidently, the price to weight ratio is the same as the street value of nose candy too!

Gw only sends models in blister, clamp, shell, printed cardboard boxes with image and such on them, or white box with citadel minature on it and little else.

Sounds like your independent dealer is screwing with you.

When I got another tau commander (about 2 years ago ) it came in a box with everything loose. I think the point is that it is cheaper to send it in a plain white box than a colored fancy box.

Really? Both of mine came in boxes. Guess it varies by country. Though they have bags of air in there too, to protect it.

i've never weighed a sprue but i doubt it comes out as £50 a gram.

Does anyone actually know why this is? Is it deliberate policy to ship internet orders in brown boxes?

Or I'd hazard a guess that if the line finishes and they've run out of packaging, they prioritise the brown boxes for internet sales rather than re-packing them. But as someone who used to distrobute packaging to assembly lines for a living, that's damn poor form

The plural of codex is codexes.

I noticed last week at my local hobby shop that their Kroot Carnivore Squads were all in ziplock bags with a GW logo sticker and a sticker with the unit name, and thats it.
