These just appeared on my Facebook news feed from the North Star figures page.

No mention of them anywhere on the Wargames Factory site so no idea about when they are coming out or what the price will be. The picture of the painted ones looks like a massive improvement on their earlier German efforts. Better poses and more pleasing proportions.

I’ve already got plenty of Americans, but it’s always good to see more stuff on the market. Nothing like a bit of competition.

*EDIT*

Actually I've just checked the Wargames Factory facebook page (which I wasn’t a follower of) and these where announced a month ago and there are a ton of pictures on there. I'm have a good look at them now.

Can't see any BARs but I assume some must be included.

I *think* there's a BAR in the two outer stands in the rear row, I HOPE they have BAR's but I wouldn't assume they have them as that's where their German box falls down: an entire companies wroth of everything else, but not enough machine guns for even a single platoon.

Ah yes, I think you're right. I hope there are enough to have one per 2 stands.

Well these are now on the WF page and look like that can be ordered. Contents are:

10-sergeants with Tommy guns, 52-riflemen, 8-riflemen with rifle grenades, 2-radio operators, 6-BAR operators, 2-snipers, 4-officers, 4-Bazooka operators and 4-loaders. Bases included.

6 BAR's is a bit stingy. I would expect at least 8 in a 92 man set.

At least they didn't include about a dozen snipers this time...

Awww :(

I just picked up a box of the Plastic Soldier Company americans a few weeks ago to do some 15mm Bolt Action with. They're OK, but these look to have a bit more pronounced details and are cheaper. Well, similar price per figure but less of them in a box, I don't need 142 infantry for Bolt Action, especially since both boxes come with about the same amount of regular riflemen (PSC has a LOT more SMGs, carbines, BARs, snipers and officers/radio operators).

I think you'll be better served with PSC if you're doing alternate FoW, but these are great alternatives too and would have been better for my specific purpose. PSC also doesn't include any bases, you have to buy them seperately. Again, not an issue for my specific purpose as I'm basing individually on 15mm washers, but it's something to be aware of.
