Your skeleton units don't make any sense, far too small.

How did you expect to win your games? Everything you have is going to crumble the second they touch anything. A saurus block 6 wide will do (12*7/6+6) * 2/3 * 2/3 * 5/6 * 5/6 = 6 dead.

They do 0.7 wounds. Add static CR and you lose by 8-9 and crumble another 9 skeletons.

Black knight units should aim to be 10-15 strong and skeleton units 40+.

To be successful you need to run minimum core (375) and get killing power from vampires and else where. The core is mostly to tarpit. You also calculated the points wrong for wolves, and maybe the skeleton champ.

I agree that is group all the skeletons into one group. I'd also take the vampire off the flying nightmare and out it into the black knights. 8th edition really it the edition of huge units. Esp speed bumps like skeletons.

But on that note my original list had a 30 strong unit of skeletons with full command. However the Master Necromancer has master of the dead, is a level 4 wizard. This means hes creating 4+D6 skeletons for each unit within 6'' of him... i'll have plenty of skeletons in each unit before they even get to fight. and i did get the points wrong on the wolves (I accedentaly upgraded a doom wolf in each ) but the skeletons are good. I gave the Necrarch the flying horror Vampiric power just because it seems Necrarchy.

I make many lists with the 30 strong block of skeletons, but I thought this could bring more to the table.

What do you think?

You said you wanted to stand a chance...

My math was to show you just how rapidly undead crumble when hit with a stick.

The idea of a master of necro skeleton list is fun, but you need a foundation to get going. IoN can he dispeled, fast movers can charge t2, etc.

I'd start by dropping the ghouls and running two units of 30 skeletons. Two units of wolves, that's your core. Same idea but sturdier. You'll start combat at around 40-45 skeletons, which is a viable size.

Pretend you're fighting empire halberdiers. In two rounds, 5 wide vs 5 wide, how many skeletons do you lose? That's about the best you could do. Dice out saurus or dwarves for fighty core. That's why folks recommend 40+ for skeletons.

Now we need to address how you will win. The black knights aren't viable at that size due to I. Are you open to running fighty vamps in the skeleton blocks? What about ethereals like hexwraiths? The current list's strategy relies on ws2 s3 models to win.

I kind of like how things look. Although looking back at old lists i kind of like the idea of a big block of skeletons. Zombies fit the Necrarch theme, but skeletons look cooler so master of the dead makes them almist like the rich man' zombie

Necrarch army:

Master Necromancer w/ master Of the dead, lvl 4, Book of Arkhan-- 245pts
Necrarch Vampire w/ staff of damnation, lvl 2-- 185pts
Necromancer w/ lvl 2, Dispel scroll-- 125pts

30 skeletons, full command 190pts
20 ghouls-- 200pts
5 dire wolves -- 40pts
5 dire wolves -- 40pts

Corpse Cart w/ unholy loadstone -- 120pts

Varghulf --175pts

5 Black Knights w/ command, lances, barding, screaming banner-- 160pts

1485pts
