Hello everyone, I have pointed up a list for an upcoming tournament in early May that I feel will both be fluffy and yet decently competitive. I will be running it out of the Militarium Tempestus Codex as I love the idea of a Spec Ops army, have enough Scion models and the fact that I think the book is more competitive than people give it credit for. I would really appreciate some feedback and as usual any thoughts and comments are welcome, thanks for posting!

7 Taurox Primes pumping out shoots is good. Going 10 man from the formation to maximise the twin linked is likewise good. Could you swap the 2 other 10 men squads to 3 x 5 man squads for an extra Taurox? Or 2 x 5 man with an empty Taurox?

Otherwise looks as good as you can get. Your options are highly limited and spamming Primes seems the way forward.

I could drop the two normal squads to x5 Scions each which would free up enough points to take an additional Taurox and potentially some Plasma Guns however was going for numbers of Scions over weapons in this case. Which do you think would be the more viable option?

I think the extra vehicle for the normal Scions is the way to go. With the Formation you want to maximise the special rules and you'll still have 50+ guys.

Hmm if I snag an 8th Taurox should I go with another Missile+Autocannon combo or Gatling Gun+Hot Shot Volley Gun combo? And would it be worth it to take some plasma guns? Or leave it as is?

Id go with Missiles just because that's what you've done across the board. You take 1 gatling and it either stands out as primary threat or is ignored. I would definitely like to see plasmas particularly in the formation squads as you've got 8 hotshot lasguns that are twinlinked being wasted if the melta is popping a tank.

Alright I have changed the above list taking your suggestions and doing what I could with them. I was able to add another Prime with a Gatling Gun and Hot Shot Volley Gun on top of all of my standard Scion squads from the formation having plasma guns. I am still a little unsure as I had to take away all the searchlights but as a early attempt what do you yall think?

Looks good more firepower and more vehicles than before.

How do you get 2 scion command squads, and a commissiar?

I understand commissars don't count as an HQ in the AM codex, but not sure about the tempestus codex.

you are only running 1 Scion Command Squad and a commissiar? or 2 Scion Cmomand Squads and a Commissiar?

He's got 1 command 2 squads a Valkyrie and a Taurox. That's his base list 1 HQ, 2 Troops and 2 Fast Attack. Plus a Formation.

How did it go? What's your current Scion list?

I'd like to know how it went as well, as I'm building up to something similar. I love a cheap inquisitor as well with servo skulls to help the deep strike
