So we received near constant rumors of a blood angels codex for months before the release of 7th edition, stating literally every time that they would be directly on the heels of the ork codex. Now, the starter set, and probably the next codex, has been confirmed to be space wolves, and dark eldar rumors are beginning to trickle in. Many of the sources that were touting blood angels rumors have been extremely reliable in the past, but is it possible that we just arent going to get another BA dex?

The other rumor was that wolves and angels were going to be a dual release, which would make sense since they were originally released one after the other with no xenos codices in between. But now all the angel rumors have all but vanished from the net, replaced by SW and DE. How could so many "reliable" rumormongers have been so wrong? And does anyone have a link to the dual release rumor? I cant seem to find it again.

Also what are your thoughts on the release schedule for the rest of the year?

I find that most rumors are nonsense, and people like Faeit and BOLS jump on anything anyone passes along without verifying sources. Remember the BA vs. Ork box that then was supposed to be Epic, then 7th edition, and speaking of 7th edition as "not 7th" and the constant "NEW CHAOS STUFF" that keeps cropping up.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was just somebody tossing something out there to see if Faeit and co don't care to verify.

There's only one "reliable" monger kicking around right now with any sort of track record, and whoever he is didn't predict Orks Vs BA, in fact, he stated outright the there wouldn't be a new starter.

The only consistent thing I've seen for BA is this year, and with weekly releases working like they do, they could land out of the blue (which would be somewhat appropriate!)

The starter set has not been confirmed as Space Wolves. The starter set isn't changing, it's just getting the new rulebook. The new boxed set in the rumour mill at the moment is a Sanctus Reach campaign box.

Ahh, thank you for that confirmation. Still lends credence to the next dex being space wolves.
