All nurgle FMC may jink while moving only up to 12" to get a lovely 2+ cover save. They may either T1 fly 24", T2 jump 12" T3 jump 12" and charge
or just T1 jump 12" and T2 jump 12" and charge. No grander strategy behind all this.

Do you think this could possibly work? Why (not)? Ignore cover seems to be the bane but with 3+/5++ and possible 4+ FnP, 5+ FnP, T8, 4++, rerollable invuls etc. they seem to be rather tough.

Or are shooting oriented FMC the only viable FMC this edition?

FMCs still work fine in close combat, you just need to find good places to park them that offers good cover but lets them assault next turn (Somewhere within 18" ish)

So any FMC that has stealth, shrouded, or reroll's failed or results of 1s on cover saves help this process.
