Hi Guys,

I recently picked up a job lot of models a few days ago and was after a little help identifying some please.

I'll post some photo's of the whole lot, which included a boxed Necromunda with 2 and half gangs in it, a Tau Hammerhead and a Beastmen Doom Bull... but for now I've just picked out the interesting ones that i cant name:

There are about a dozen of these guys

Old daemon-ey thing?

There are about ten of these rockety bad boys...

Ill try and get a better pic of these maybe. Weird bases though?

Ill take some more pics of the other stuff too, but there is a hell of lot...

Cheers

Adzila

#2 is a Nurgle plaguebearer (daemon model).
#3 is an ork "burna boy"
#4 is an ork runtherd. They control the grot mobs.
#5 is an old ork Meganob. Maybe early 90s.
#6 is an ork "stormboy" (jump pack infantry).
#7 Ork meganob (3rd-4th ed version)
#8 Rogue Trader (1st edition) metal orks/early 2nd edition orks.

Is the first one a metal ork body with the heads, legs, arms of a modern ork?

I know some of my slugga boys have that exact sword, and I've used those heads before. The leg stance looks similar too.

I think Chromedog hit the rest. I Collected imperial back in the metal days, so my orks only go back to 5th edition, the Storm Boy model there looks to use some more modern plastic bits too, I don't ever remember getting a combi model like that before, so I assume they are custom builds.

Stormboyz were a combination metal/plastic kit for a while. I think there was another combination kit too. So I don't think they're custom builds.

From the 'weird bases' comment on the last ones, and considering the era of the other models in the photo, I wonder if they might be Gorkamorka rather than RT?

Fair enough. I know a lot of the modern ork plastics are rehashes of old molds and the armbands do look off on that guy. Also, I just looked through a carry case that was nearby and all my AOBR orks are using that sword in their right hand, not left. So I'll accept there were those combo kits. I was wracking my brain and can't ever remember getting any, but then, we spent most of RT and 2nd edition playing with paper markers and proxies I think.

Oh, and on the far right of the main picture is an Ork Thumpa cannon with the 2 gretchin attendent dudes. I got a few dozen old White Dwarfs with it all and the first one i looked at featured the exact thumpa model.

2nd edition starter box orks.

Yep. 2nd ed starter box marines (static posed ones) with some 3rd ed ones and other bits glued together. Plastic bike dates to 2nd edition. Yes, the wheels could move if you glued it together that way.

2nd ed starter box grots (space goblins) - technically "gretchin" at that time.

Necromunda miniatures. Skirmish gang offshoot of 2nd ed 40k.

Ruins from 3rd ed 40k starter set.

The very first pic is actually an Ork 'Ard Boy. IIRC, he should have an iron gob to go on his helmet as well.

Just FYI, the Necromunda stuff is probably worth around as much now as it was when bought new - quite sought-after in some circles.
