Hey all, consider me an educated noob. I played 40k during 4th and 5th edition and always kept an eye on fantasy. I recently purchased the rulebook and Lizardmen armybook and played a few games against vampires and Empire. I'm having a lot of fun! Fantasy is really interesting, the movement phase in particular. We're going to play a 1,600 point game soon, the biggest value we'll have played so far. Here's what I'm thinking:
Lords: -Slaan w/ becalming cogitation and battle standard (lore of beasts) = 350
Heroes: -Skink chief w/ spear, light armour, shield and ruby ring of ruin, mounted on a terradon = 106
Core: -29 saurus w/ spears and full command = 349
-10 skink skirmishers w/ blowpipes = 70
-10 skink skirmishers w/ blowpipes = 70
Special: -20 temple guard w/ full command = 310
-10 chameleon skinks = 130
-Stegadon = 215
Basically the chieftan is flying around attacking shooty units and warmachine crew, the skinks are demolishing chaff and disturbing the enemy battleline, the saurus, temple guards and steg are the hard hitting second wave and the slaan is buffing with wyssans, chucking amber spears and even boosting the chieftan if he gets a counter rear charge off. Ii know it's best to go no monsters or lots, but I'm not really sure what I'd take instead.
Any and all thoughts very much appreciated.
