Hello all Dakka buddies!

This is my first competitive game (15-20 casual). 20% of points MUST BE TROOPS (only restriction)
Here is my list:

HQ:
Sammael (Jetbike) - 200pts
Librarian (Mastery Level 2, SM Bike, Power Field Generator) - 155pts
RW Command Squad (Standard of Devastation) - 185pts

Elites:
DW Terminators (Assault cannon, 2 Chainfists) - 250pts

Troops:
6 RW Bikers+RW Land Speed (Typhoon missile launcher, Multi-melta) - 246pts
5 RW Bikers - 134pts

Fast Attack:
RW Darkshroud - 80pts

Total: 1250

I have these models, and I'll buy up to $50.00 bucks worth:
25 Tacticals
5 more Termies

Thank you!

That's tough man. To be honest, this is probably about as good as you're going to get. DA just aren't one of the better codexes for competitive play. I'm not huge on the terminators really, they don't add much. I'd drop them for more bikes if you're willing to do that, maximize the banner. That, or take a land raider crusader which also gets buffed by the banner.

For your purchasing - are you saying you have 25 marines, 5 termis, and $50 to spend on additional models? If so, put the $50 towards a LRC (Yeah, you'll shell out a few extra bucks) or bikes.

I honetly like the list and I would use the dw assault rules and hold the dw in reserve. Charge the bikes up and get close to utilize the teliport homer for the deep striking dw. Id also try to find some points for some plasma or melta for anti tank. Rw are a lot of fun. And good luck.

I advise dropping the typhoon and another bike to grab 2 attack bikes w/ MM they are worth the points.

Drop the termies, they don't do jack in your list. They will catch every AP2 fire the enemy has and evaporate.

Also, drop the MM on the Land Speeder and go with a HB - the Typhoon has too large a range and is too fragile to get close for the MM. OR drop the Typhoon and get a 2nd MM for a suicide tankpopping unit.

Next, with the saved points, get as mentioned 2 attack bikes with MM. Then give your bikers either 2 flamers or 2 meltas. Add a combi weapon according to the squad.
Also increase the size of the Command Squad to 5 and add a Gren Launcher.
An apothecary for the RWCS fills your points nicely up to near 1250.

Drop the termies, and take some Ravenwing Knights. Termies are too slow to keep up with the rest of your army. I also second the above poster's idea of dropping the Typhoon speeder in favor of attack bikes. Maybe try to fit in a special weapon or two on those RW bike squads. I'm also not a big fan of SM librarians, so I'd reccomend dropping him in favor of an Chaplain on bike. I think they're better in combat, and grant more reliable unit buffs.

Well, sorry guys, I actually dont have time to get more stuff, so...yeah.
I understand what you guys are saying with the Termies, EXCEPT the mobility thing. Scout + DWA = ~18" away from deployment line. Sometimes they actually get into CC by Turn 2. Anyway, Im sorry, but I cant change much. I DO have an Attack Bike w/ MM. I could drop the Libby for extra biker + AB with about 60 left, or something like that.

Drop the extra mastery level and upgrade to an apothecary. Pick up a grenade launcher in the RW Command. They are cheaper to buy through the command structure vs. FA choice.

Drop - seriously. It saddens me to say, as I played all DW in 5th ed.

Drop the speeder, unless you just don't have anything else. Attack bikes are much better with MM, and if you can run your bikers in MSU. Gives you better scoring chances and allows for more Melta Guns.

Excellent to help your troops to get where they need to go. I wouldn't try to squeeze your HQ in the bubble as you already have Cover/Inv bubble for them.

Don't drop the libby, he's good. If you want to keep at Lvl 2 (points and all), go ahead. I'd put the attack bike in and leave the speeder too since dropping the termies allows for it.

Use your speed and terrain!

Thanks for all the help guys, but sadly Im not able to go. If theres another chance I get, I will definitely take your suggestions, as I will have more flexibility (LRC, more BKs, etc)
Thank you!
