Hi folks,

New to lizard men and just came back from a healthy break away. Gunna start a lizard men army but see if i can run pure skinks (for now) so for the small points costs, iv tried to make it as fun as po but with it being slightly competitive, tell me what you think, please go easy on me, I'm a little rusty

If it were me i would drop 2 units of skimmishers in favour of either a unit of rippers of terradons.

TBF, unless you get a unit of 6 rippers, they're not worth it. 3-5 just doesn't cut it.

True though at 1200 points they (either rippers or terradons) would be a good distraction to draw fire away from the steg and bastilidon.

rock 4 terradons instead.

If you want max efficiency, take 3 terradons. Good cheap chaff, who can drop rocks on war machines and then charge and kill them.

The chief cannot have the cube for 2 reasons:

1. its arcane and he isn't a wizard
2. a BSB cannot take magical items if he has a magical standard.

i agree with dark, 3 terradons is a good choice.

For the record, a pure-Skink list is far from un-competitive. In fact, I think Skinks are the most competitive choices in the book.
Saurus are great, but Skink Skirmishers are so cheap and so versatile. Then add in the flyers, big gribblies, and the hunting packs and chameleons, and you really don't need Saurus, Temple Guard, or Cold Ones at all.

So with taking the cube off the BSB and dropping a skink squad, i had that extra 100 point, so for now iv added in 3 terradon riders. Only thing I'm slightly worried about is not having the dispel scroll, but i don't think its a major issue at 1200 points.

I'd pick up a block with a pair of Krox. You could use a little more hitting power in combat, and at 1200 points, it's good enough.

now if i take 2 kroxigors in that block of skinks, can i use the krox's LD instead of the skinks? Or even the chief?

Skinks are dicks! A unit of them took down my Gorgan asap in my game this weekend using my beastmen...

Correct. Which is also why you want krox.
Hell, if you throw the banner of discipline in, you are Ld9 in that block. It's like you have a slann...
