I saw somewhere, (will need to find) that the Necrons will NOT get a new codex, but instead get a new lord with rules in the box...

Then also that the Tyranids will be receiving 2 new big bugs as well, wiith rules in the box... anyone else hear anything like this?

Edit: I also saw that when the Blood Angels get there new book there will be a campaign for Tyranids & Blood Angels (in the Blood Angels the Tyranids landed on Baal) and maybe a suprise codex for nids (that would be very unlikely

Probably best just to contribute to each of those threads in the News and Rumors forum when you find them.
Or start new threads there when you have a little more info if the don't exist already.
This thread is pretty redundant. Usually on dakka 40k Discussion threads are started after the new release.

I rather believe in the Codex since they will want their product range to have the same standard - hard cover books for 7th ed.

My armies:
Eldar
Necron
Chaos Space Marines
Grey Knights
Imperial Knights
Death Guard

Yeah necrons and blood angels still have soft cover books, so they should get a proper update sometime soon.

I´d find it really odd that they would update all Codices but one.

Especially with the new trend of having a $50 codex and a $50 supplement and additional dataslates.

I think the OP's rumor actually said no new models (a la GK) not no new codex.

The closest GW's ever been to having all the books updated was back in 2nd edition. All they had left to do was the Squats. Necrons and Dark Eldar were not really developed yet. Half the current books are technically 6th edition (CSM, Eldar, Tau, IG, SM).

I do see they have 2 new pre orders for 40k in the midst of Glotkin being released. they are kind of interesting tbh (which is obviously because of christmas coming up i would think)

Well, I wouldn't have problems if Necrons would not get a new 'dex.
The old is still alive and kickin'.

However, editing the old codex to amek a new one out of it could just take a few days.
They could give it to me. I could do it for them.
And they will make money with a new one even if there would be no new releases.

And you would create a codex that you deem balanced and fun. And 90% of all players would disagree and think THEY would have been able to do the job just right. Welcome to the hell of commercial game making.

Well, I guess that some could do it better.
But the jervisification of the codices is also not the best solution.

The things GW takes as balanced codex has ended with stuff like the DA codex and the new eldar. GW desingers in WD said that buff books were balanced. In fact they say it about every codex they make.

Yeah but believing what GW says is like believing a politician or a used car salesman who tells you that the car was only driven by a little old lady who used it only on Sunday for church and shopping. The studio has also shown that they are totally clueless about building armies as they'll build what looks/feels/sounds good without caring how effective it is in-game, and use that for all their "balance" since they don't do external playtests to my knowledge, and especially not from people who would likely find combos that should be fixed.

Indeed they present 3000 or higher pt armies in showcase battles in WD.
Makes not much sense if you ask me.
