About 4 months ago I placed an order from Arcane Miniatuees for an Enigma Miniatures Dark Vlad, who I was going to use as a vampire Lord. When I ordered it, it said it was on back order, so I left it maybe 3 weeks, before emailing and asking when they were expected in. They replied promptly and said 2, maybe 3 weeks. 2, maybe 3 weeks later, nothing. So I emailed again, and this time didn't get a reply. I've been emailing maybe once a month with no reply, so I tried to ring today and it goes straight to an answerphone. I didn't leave a message (mainly because I'm crap on the phone and panicked) but it just seems like another way for them to ignore you... So I sent one last email asking to cancel the order and I'll see if anything happens. I'd have tried to sort it much sooner but tbh it's been so long I keep forgetting I even ordered it!

So yeah. It's not as bad an experience as some people on here have had with companies but I'm pretty pissed. It's only a tenner but that's not really the point. Just wanted to warn people that their service is pretty terrible so just beware. Thanks for reading my little rant (if anyone even did!)

They're consistently dreadful.

I had to open a PayPal dispute because I got no response to an enquiry whether an order had processed correctly (I hadn't received a confirmation mail) which I had to escalate to a claim because they still refused to talk to me.

There's stories all over the net about similar experiences.

Yeah really I should've checked for horror stories before I used them but I had got a couple of infinity models from them before which came through fine, but I definitely won't be using them again. And thanks for the recommendation

Conversely, I've placed maybe a dozen orders over the last three years with them and only had one problem (same problem as Azreal13 only the issue was resolved a few days later).

Just putting it out there.

Troll Trader is great. Even for us colonial types.

YMMV, as they say. I've read a few other similar situations online. I don't even mind delays so much (within reason) it's the lack of communication that pisses me off.

Troll trader is my go-to guy for stuff these days, AM have ripped me off in the past too, in my case warmachine stuff.

I haven't used them for about a year but previously I made around 15 orders over time of Malifaux stuff for my lady and never had any issues. The orders were sent out well packaged and fast. But as mentioned this was ONLY for Malifaux stuff and can't comment on recent quality.

I've told my Arcane story a few times on here and I can't be bothered typing it all out again, but I know for a fact how dishonest they are, would never use them again for any level of discount on a product and would urge everyone to steer clear. The industry needs fewer people like Russ in it and I am continually amazed he's still going every time I see the Arcane name pop up.

I do wish I'd done a search before I used them... I mean it's only like £10 I'm down it could be a lot worse but it's bloody annoying. I haven't heard anything back after I sent an email asking them to cancel my order and refund it -.-

On the other hand, I ordered a bunch of Hordes stuff from the Outpost on Friday, and half the order had arrived by Monday, the rest wasn't in stock on the website so I wasn't expecting any! And everything is 20% on there.

Open a PayPal dispute or a VISA chargeback.

I thought you had to leave it like half a year or something stupid before you did a PayPal dispute?

Oh I see I misread it, it said within 180 days. I've started a PayPal resolution thingy.

Don't order anything from Arcane Miniatures. I ordered items worth £235, but never get anything from them. I wrote email to them. They told me that they will resend the package. But, that never happened. I kept sending them emails to ask them to fulfil my order. Nothing. They don't bother reply anymore. This is the first time I order something from UK and never get them. I'm so sad that I lost £235 of my hard-earning money. Besides, Wayland Games & Firestorm Games are good.

Dude, cant you get a chargeback on your CC or open a paypal dispute? No one lets £235 of green just slide! I've used Arcane but once and had no problem. Wayland I have more than once cancelled an order because "Oh hey its totally in stock man except, you know it isnt so can you wait 6 months? Im good for it man, you know I am" Firestorm I have used but once, no problem.

It's too late to open a paypal dispute. My order was placed almost 5 months ago. What else I can do? Perhaps, Mr. Scott thought "I am not going to send those beautiful Scale75 models to this foolish non-English-speaker who placed order from overseas. He can't do nothing about this anyway."

This is why, when Paypal's new 180 day filing window gets enacted (starting tomorrow!) I think it will be a lot harder for sellers to string buyers along... they will have to run out a much longer window to get away with things now.

I don't know about this particular company, just as a general comment...
